Thanks.

It's not for me this time.

I applied about a month ago.

I haven't yet got the 2 x Qantas Club vouchers. Do I need to do something for that or are they automatically sent?

Got to buy a Qantas flight/gift voucher I believe to trigger the passes.

Yes. But I just transfer out points to my partner so I''m say 300 short of some award. Then ring up and buy 500 points for $20, then transfer back in. They don't actually make you buy the award on the phone.

Is the 75k required income personal or household? Couldn't find the specifics so am thinking personal which rules me out.

If you're not far short, Funky, you might want to give it a go. We were approved on a lower income although no mortgage/debt and requested a reduced limit.

Thanks Briar. I might have to wait a bit on this one. Do have some cc debt from a couple big ticket items that were unavoidable plus my score dropped about 70 points overnight after I was approved for a new NAB card.
Would a 70 point drop be normal after being approved? I looked at 2 cards but only applied for 1 and was approved inside 24hrs. I was 700+ and now like 650.

Yeap that is normal. Sometimes there's an even bigger drop. You should also look at Amex Qantas Ultimate for more points if you're signing up cc. Use a referral to get 112.5k Qantas points.

thanks nightelves. Yea I think that AMEX card was next on the list. Not sure if I should wait for score to jump up again or not. It had gone up 30 in the last month. Does pretty much any payment on loans/cc lift your score straight away?
Should have the required spend on the NAB card done in 2 weeks.

Funky I was approved just last month for a new Amex with a much lower score than yours so wouldnt worry too much.

Been trying to get it back over 500 again but there are just too many offers on at the moment :(

Anyone received the sign on bonus or lounge passes yet? I've had the card for around 6 weeks and reached the minimum 5k spend around 2 weeks ago. Did the required qantas purchase for the lounge passes around 10 days ago.

Hi folks - I run Point Hacks.

The offer terms from Westpac on their landing page state:

The bonus Qantas or Altitude Points will be credited to your points balance in two increments - 50,000 and then 50,000 - within 60 days after the eligible spend criteria being met.

If anyone who has applied through our link has waited the full 60 days and they don't get the bonus points as promised, I'd like to hear about it - similarly, if people do, I'd also like to hear about it.

There's a been a bit of confusion for different reasons around this offer, so any real-world experiences as the bonus points come through to confirm it's all tracking OK would be helpful.

Thanks!

Received my first statement today - No sign of the bonus points yet but its still early days according to the T&Cs.

I also used this card to book a hotel through QF and pay the taxes on some flights, hopefully this should be enough to trigger the lounge passes.

Time to pay off the balance and put the cards in a safe spot. Thinking about applying for the ANZ deal next but am a bit hesitant as I have to re-finance so I might wait till after that's through.

How long ago did you do the required QF spend?

Booked a hotel through Qantas on the 16th of Nov and also paid for some taxes on an award flight on the 23rd of Nov. Not sure if the hotel booking triggered it first or not.

I hope you registered for the Qantas passes before purchasing
