Lets get some clarity late in this thread..

Is this promo starting today?? and have we ascertained its 5 trans for 1k points? no sign-up needed? only at certain merchants? and limited earning potential?

Not known. There are only rumours and one person who claimed that his daughter received a postcard.

Does not seem to be mentioned on other forums (ie people receiving postcards or the promo)

and have we ascertained its 5 trans for 1k points?

As mentioned earlier in the thread Amex was issuing this asa mistake. One person has indicated that it was only for one particular Amex Card type, but has not stated what this was.

So basically for most, if not all of us, there is no 5 tx for 1000 point promo....and if it was you cannot sign up uninvited.

Basically nothing is known apart from the one report earlier in this thread & a sepaerate report in another thread by Snufl that there was a Promo coming.

So it is still not known if there is even a promo...and if there is what it's T&C are.

In my experience most Amex Promos are to small groups..ie are targetted. ...and indeed at any one time I think amex would be running one or more promos to at least ssome part of its customer base.


Some are to one and all. Most are not...ie BP, Colorado having been some within the last 9 months.

However the last few years there seems to have been a large promo running up to Xmas. I would guess that this year will be no different.
