When I went through a couple of months ago there was indications work was being done. I asked a few people but got no further details. This is good news.

Interesting though, based on the location I don't think it will have external facing windows.

I wonder if QF will send their pax there when the DEL flights operate from ADL during the winter months?

I don't think QF69 has a scheduled stop in ADL any more?

Correct. My understanding though it it's a seasonal thing based on stronger headwinds during certain months. However, I could be mistaken.

I can't see any MEL-DEL flights scheduled to stop in ADL in the next year.

Saw one of the airport management team today that I know and they had been hoping for a October 1st opening but a few little setbacks means it could be dragged out by a couple of weeks although they are still working flat out trying to meet that timeline

Is there any update on this? Looking at booking the QR flight ADL-AKL in Feb (already have the next day's return redeemed with expiring Asia Miles to try QSuites) and it would be great if there were a lounge after outbound passport control.

I think there would have been a media release here but so far, crickets. Everyone important is on holidays! Hoping at least by April for us.
I’m hoping for Feb but no indication of any work being done in the last few weeks and everyone that should know at the airport either genuinely don’t know or are keeping it tight lipped

No mention of ADL on the Plaza Premium website.

Thanks Pushka, will be transiting through ADL in a couple of weeks time and was hoping for it to have been opened by then. Oh wells, 1.5 hours is not a lot of time anyway...

Will be flying MH so would that be the QF Club for us then?

Yep. But it’s on the wrong side of International. You will have to walk to the end of the terminal and go through immigration and security after leaving the club. Upstairs where everyone goes isn’t too shabby with views over tarmac but little in way of snacks etc. The duty free wasn’t even opened up yet when we went through in May. And nor was QP because Qatar no longer accessed it. 😠

This is infuriating. They were very insistent it would be sometime in December and I have an international departure from ADL in early February.
I guess the other thing is that as yet I’m yet to hear of any arrangements between the airlines and Plaza Premium as in will it only be a pay lounge only? The airlines might be happy to continue their existing lounge arrangements with QF and VA and not pay PP
