Plaza Premium Lounge at Adelaide Airport

$63.90 for 2 hours and no alcohol ....
$76 for 5 hours ...l
Seem to think that they have a captive market. Never been in a Plaza Premium lounge.

No alcohol? *coughs*

Plaza Premium lounges tend to be of a fairly decent quality. They're no F lounge but at least the level of an international J lounge from my few experiences.

Following up on when the Adelaide Plaza Premium lounge is to be licensed for alcohol, I found the following info on cbs.sa.gov.au:

"Plaza Premium Lounge Australia Pty Ltd has applied to the licensing authority for the grant of a restaurant and catering licence in respect of premises to be situated at Terminal 1,
International Departures, Sir Richard William Avenue, Adelaide Airport SA 5950 to be known as Plaza Premium Lounge Adelaide.
The following authorised hours for the consumption of liquor on the licensed premises
are sought by this application:
Monday 12:00am to midnight
Tuesday 12:00am to midnight
Wednesday 12:00am to midnight
Thursday 12:00am to midnight
Friday 12:00am to midnight
Saturday 12:00am to midnight
Sunday 12:00am to midnight

Determination date is 28 March, so my guess is theyll extend hours and start serving alcohol shortly after that is granted.

Dislike the term 12 am. Does this mean 12 noon or in effect 24 hours a day, or opening hours.

12am is midnight.
Thankyou. Now just need J class or emeralds and equivalent to be given free access. Did get a 50% voucher just now from Smart traveller but it expires in a month. Just before opening. But trip isn't until May anyway.

It looks like this lounge now has its liquor licence, although the opening hours have been cut back to 7-10am daily. This basically means it's only open for the SQ & MH departures from Adelaide.

Yeah, not great hours but obviously we don’t have many international flights and it’s not financially viable to stay open all day. I also believe that QR has no interest in paying the fees and is happy with the current arrangement with VA

Any news on whether MH is allowing access for J passengers etc? Guess I'll know myself in a weeks time.

I used this lounge all the way back in late-Feb, as a Velocity platinum flying Singapore Airlines. Singapore started sending FF/biz pax to the Premium Plaza within days of it opening :)
It's quite a nice ambience in the lounge, although it was surprisingly crowded just with SQ pax.

Disillusionment sets in.
Well not so ... I looked closer at the article.

There are "Limits".

Consider a period of time after either midnight or midday and describe that as being AM or PM. Halve that time and there still is a time AM or PM.

Continue halving that time and it is still either AM or PM. Eventually that amount of time will approach zero and we have a notional 12am or 12pm being effectively real.

Differential calculus is how we engineer aircraft or build Plaza Premium lounges.
