I've realised it's a tad difficult to get to the other side of the bay in time for me to do this, so I'll be a scratching for the day.
I thought I had a lift there, but that has fallen over. Will try to get up to the airport for lunch at the Holiday Inn though. Any estimate on time for that?

Pfft, they don't know the meaning of cold... I see for CBR it's going to be -2C when I get up (and no doubt some degree of de-icing of both car and plane will happen), MEL it's a low of a balmy 11C...
Although both have highs of 16C...
