For my northern brethren, be aware that it's pretty darn cold in Melbourne!

Really? I contemplated putting a jumper on this morning.

I guess I have become use to the climate!

Not quite sure what my plans are tomorrow, not keen on going to Pt Cook or Moorabbin. Might pop into the lounge for a drink or two. Will watch the thread tomorrow and decide what/where I go.

I could be interested in a lift at 9;30am from HOTP, maybe you already filled the bus, I was speaking to someone today who suggest Point Cook is worth a look.
The RAAF museum at Pt Cook is pretty good. I have not been for a while so things may have changed a little. A few thing to think about though,

  1. Most of the restoration work is voluntary
  2. Entry is a gold coin donation though they appreciate any extra people care to offer.
  3. A photo ID is required to get onto the base.
  4. The hangers can be really cold so rug up.
  5. There are four or five aircraft on display in the museum that I've actually flown. (Scary really)

I'm thinking about driving down tomorrow for lunch but I'll make that decision in the morning.

Staying at HOTP what time for breakfast for those staying here.

We just landed in Mel, will make our way over with ozmille to the J lounge once the taxi stops.

JT001 is awaiting the boarding call before taxiing to the departure area. Lounge facilities should be fully utilised as there is no on board catering.

Was just as well I cancelled. It turns out AA didn't interline my lost baggage to QF (when I was on VA; long story). I had to wait for the entire contents of QF94 to be emptied onto the belt before I could lodge a claim. Didn't get out of the airport till after 10:30.

Am now contemplating a cheeky red wine before a nap, ready for a drink or three this evening :)

After an impromptu airport tour (check the muddy shoes for the participants), we are having a lunch in the HI Restaurant at the airport.

I'm leaving essendon now. Might pop into the HI to say hi. Can I park there?

When are you guys off to DJ lounge? I'll be there just before 3 and I'll come introduce myself. Fly ahead is something real nice scored a 3:30pm flight from 8pm ;)

My mates think I'm crazy flew to melb just to have breaky and lunch with them. They just don't understand!
