Probably targeted. I just got an email from ANZ saying they lifted the earn rate to a pretty incredible 2 QFF pts / $ spend on the ANZ FF Black Visa for the next 3 months.

Same here - the email just arrived. As I've just got through the first few months of spend to get my sign-on bonus, I was about to put it in the back of the wallet - but not until the end of Sep at least. Maybe that's why they targetted me?

My bonus point offer finishes at midnight on 25th August. I noticed that transactions stay as pending up to 4+ days after, and then post at the later date. So if I use the card on the 25th August but when it finally posts with a date of 29th August, do I still get the bonus point? Anyone know who has used this promo before?

From what I've seen you'd probably want to cease using the card to allow sufficient time for the transaction to post prior to deadline.

The 25th is a Sunday.... I'll cease using the card on the 19th. I'll be paying some big ATO payments well before the 19th.... the tax office will be well pleased.

My points seem to post the next day. Can you make your payment earlier to be safe?

I never was notified of the promotion, but the bonus points only lasted for one statement cycle. That one month was a good one though!

FYI, as long as the purchase is made during the promo period, even if the transaction posts after the promotion period ends, you will get the bonus points Great promo for me and smashed the card hard for the bonus points!! Hope they give me the offer again...

I kept the card 2 months longer than planned specifically because of the promotion.

Now the promotion has ended I've cancelled the card.

It was taking 4 days to process so I ceased using the card on the 19th .... just brought all payments forward. Brilliant offer that has increased the QFF stash by a substantial amount.

The offer straddled another year of fees, but it was definitely worth it.
