20 years - A Pictorial Celebration!

Food tour looks great- was this something you booked? How much was it?

The tour was brilliant - we've been to HKG a dozen or so times and this experience made "this trip" stand out from the rest.

The tour is only available for in-house guests of Four Seasons HKG In the Footsteps of a Dragon

It's not cheap but given the list of activities - it's worth every cent. The FS service is world class and they go OTT to ensure your day is special.

Well, I don't know about you amaroo, but I'm exhausted, and have this strange craving for gourmet food ... <goes to fridge, fails to find said gourmet meal, but rather a packet of snags from Coles, comes back to computer somewhat dissatisfied>

Jeez, it was a rough four days .... glad I had 20 years to prepare for it ;)

On a correct weight basis ... the best meal I tasted over the four days - was this one https://foursquare.com/v/kung-wo-dou-ban-chong-公和荳品廠/4c9b3d98d4b1b1f7bfc4d635

The meal - Hand made (on the premises) tofu & soy milk.

Bloody Tofu - I still can't believe it

was with the apparently deserted QF lounge in HKG?

It's a huge lounge and was pretty full. There were condensed pockets watching the NRL final .... might explain the sparse image in the photos.

What a great TR - and well done on the planning for your celebration. Great style! Just wondering how much weight you put on? Cos I'm sure I have whilst salivating through all the pics. Well done

Thank you Amaroo for a great TR, I am sure you have whet the appetite of many AFF members, I know I now long to return to HK, (and its only been 3 months)

I am still trying to lose the weight from our African trip, but just looking at those photos makes me long for another trip to Hong Kong!

Thanks Bb. Hong Kong is a fabulous place to enjoy a short break / stopover .... I can't get enough of the place. We're planning a month in Italy at the end of 2015 (kids and school holidays:() and will try everything to book (on points:D) via HKG. Had a quick look yesterday for a random date and you could secure 4 x J to SYD - ROME on EK .... not so lucking with CX :(

Your TR looks the goods - great photos! Shall we do duelling TR's on our upcoming Gallipoli adventure ;)

Okay, I finally got to this thread - only got through the first page over lunch. Will have to get up to date tonight. Love the pictorial amaroo

Half the board and the other half are hoping for tickets.....

I suspect 2016 will be more pleasant but 2015 seemed like a good idea when I booked 4 or 5 years ago. I feel sure there will be a large no of trip reports and info for you!

Have heard of 'death by PowerPoint' this could be 'death by TR'.
No, let me rephrase that, the TRs are all going to be fantastic and we who are left at home will read avidly and with more than a tinge of envy.

Thank you, just read the thread. I look forward to the TR's Turkey will be our first stop on our 6 week jaunt. I look forward to finding out which travel companies in Turkey come thru with all the goods in 2015.

ooohh who is going to Gallipoli ?? I have just starting researching for our trip. (Aug 2016) All tips gladly received.

Yeah I was wondering about that - there could be a flood of them :)

I'll be doing a TR - iphone and app make it extremely user friendly ... compiling this TR wasn't intrusive or difficult to update on the run - AFF have done a brilliant job with their app :!:

There are many AFFer's attending via a broad range of tours/cruises/hotels/flights/places - each TR should be unique and provide a fantastic insight into Turkey, IST and ANZAC cove.

Fantastic TR Amaroo and I recognised many familiar places as I am a regular visitor to Hong Kong. Never had the pleasure of the FS though and your TR REALLY makes me want to stay there.. and the foodie tour looks to die for. hmmm..... planning.. planning....
