So who is Lawlass going to spouse this time? Any volunteers? Just need to know so we can make sure the announcement goes off with out a hitch.

I'll be on JQ1, BTW.

On the flight or at the Hilton South Wharf, won't it depend on where Lawlass is seated on the plane.

I think Lawlass getting engaged was one of her top 20 moments of 2012 according to Facebook anyway.:p

Seating on the aircraft would play a big part, I imagine. ;)
Unfortunately, I'm just a ring in for the flight. Or fortunately, depending on how you look at it.

Although I would be joining the festivities in the evening, I will also be travelling on JQ1 and subject to final confirmation from anchew with regards to 'guesting' me in, I should also be in the F Lounge.

Hope to meet many of you on Saturday.

Now about that..... Anyone on QF 8 on Sat morning driving from the city? Feel like swinging by the Hilton?

We are a little bit north of the city, but may be able to pick you up. Haven't sorted our transport yet, but it looks like driving to the Intl & parking there will cost less than the taxis to/from. Just got to transit from dom to intl on Sun arvo, but that shouldn't be too bad. I hope.

I have no recollection Your Honour........

Just catching up on the thread after a long time away from AFF (on holidays for the last 2 months). Looking forward to this. Is anyone staying at the Sydney Hilton on the Friday before setting out for JQ1? It would be good to hang out at the Lounge or Glass in the morning with anyone that's there!

Last minute change of plans for me, I suddenly have a whole lot more spare time this week. I might try to come along to the drinks component? It'd be nice to meet a few more of you.

For those of us going from QF 8 to JQ 1, I'm going to adopt the following approach:
  • Check-in for QF 8 and attempt check-in for JQ 1. The former can be done OLCI or airport; the latter will result in an attempt confirmation of sorts.
  • Get D sticker for QF 8 at airport.
  • Fly QF 8 to SYD, pass through transit security (assumed that an onward BP is not required) - the emphasis is to get back to airside and avoid landside. Then, go to F lounge.
  • JQ 1 BP will either be:
    • (Re)printed by the F Lounge desk, or
    • Obtainable somewhere else airside.
For those of you who have QF 8 and JQ 1 on the same itinerary, the process is even easier as OLCI should succeed (and so should counter check-in at BNE anyway).

I haven't done a F Lounge run for a while, so I'm guessing that this will work alright. Someone else with more experience can chime in if there's a problem with the above.

Oh and PS - anyone (that I've met or know, and whose handle isn't penegal or Lawlass) who gets stuck for accom - I'm about 10 mins (taxi ride) from HSW and have some space.

Will also be on JQ1, returning home from an 'event' ;)

Hope to do much the same, whether it's naive or not.
i did QF8 to 107 in Oct & didn't need my 107 BP til the Floune ... Hmmm ....

anat0l, at the very least you will be able to get BP and D sticker at the aircraft gate when boarding JQ1. The Flounge has been unable to print them in the past.
