Just checked my Hilton reservation and I've been upgraded to a 2 Bedroom Suite. w00t

Awwww ... protest ... trippin_the_rift and I only got upgraded to a Yarra Suite ... I hope it still has two separate beds

It is with regret that I report that I will be a late scratching from today's events (Friday night) and at least the first half of tomorrow (Saturday). A work emergency has positioned me several thousand miles from where I was expecting to me. Despite my best efforts (and shiny cards) I have been unable to arrange transport to SYD tonight

I think my $35 JQ 'hedge' for JQ1 tomorrow will go through to the keeper. I am sure that I will easily subsidise a few drinks for some of you which you will drink quickly tomorrow...

I have yet to be allocated a seat as I did not pay for a seat allocation. It will cost me more than 10% of my fare to choose a seat; there are still a few aisle seats unallocated so I will take my chances at the airport...:!::shock: (I may regret this!)

Further good news, "Manage my booking" suggests that I have been allocated seat 39G on JQ1 tomorrow, which, I think, is an aisle seat...phew

Very happy!
We're now in Sydney (crashing at our son's pad) and are really looking forward to the weekend ahead.
