Hopefully some others will decide to come along, otherwise I might end up eating on my own! :(

Join the rest of us on QF8 and there is no transfer ;-)

Yup, we're on QF8. Double Fliounge! :p (Still need D stickers or similar, right?)

Aaah... you two booked your JQ35 on the QF website.

I needed a squiggle for my JQ35 so I had to use the JQ website to add on a Plus pack. This means even if I flew QF8, the separate PNRs will most likely reduce, if not zero, my chances of getting a JQ35 BP with D sticker from BNE I (if it wasn't already difficult enough).

In any case, I was thinking to get an earlier flight from BNE D to get more F Lounge time. Or, at least beat you two to the Champagne... :p

no easy f lounging from wagga to mel although !
"why fly direct when you can connect!"

I rung earlier today - $35.96 with price beat on TT.

The gave me a PNR over the phone so I can call back to ask about it when I have a spare hour or two.
From my experience, you'll get the itinerary the next business day or two. But if you check manage booking on JQ website, the booking should be there.

I booked yesterday afternoon and my JQ35 itinerary came through at 1am this morning.

I have tried to book JQ35 on 22 Dec, but it hasn't ticketed yet... How long does it normally take for JQ Manilla to spit out an eTicket?

The reason that the Price Beats take so long is that they have to manually adjust the payment - if you look at the PNR before they ticket it you'll see the price of the ticket, the amount you paid, and an amount owing - they have to manually reconcile the amount owing (likely to a "price beat" fund") so that they can track how much they're spending on pricebeating. They allow 72 hours because they don't don't do it on weekends - but usually on a weekday it's <24 hours.

Oh, and we're in for JQ35 on Sat as well, my +1 is taking my guest spot in the lounge.

Anyone miss the cut for the dinner and interested in making a separate booking? I'd be keen to join. Going to try book JQ35 later once I figure out the price beat on JQ. Any pointers in how one goes about that? Guest spot would be available.

1. Find the price on TT for the flight within an hour of JQ35 SYD-MEL.
2. Call Jetstar.
3. Tell them that you're booking JQ35 and you want to do a price beat.
4. Be on hold for an inordinate amount of time.
5. They come back, take your credit card, and tell you that you'll have a tax invoice within 72 hours, and they give you a PNR for your flight.

Simple!

Mg as I have posted before if I am alive and in Oz on the night then I will definitely attend.

Unfortunately not 100% sure on either of those points right now - will update as night draws closer if that is any help.

Mgiduds - Blackcat - maybe PM each other.

I think just post in thread at he moment willingness to attend. I think most people have paid their deposits those who have not, please do so, and that really finalises dinner for numbers attending. I think with planning this far out, we will end up with cancellations eventually, so it may well work it self out in the end :)

I'm hopeful of this (not that I want others to miss out!) otherwise a separate table is fine. I'm at 90% likely unless a family event comes up.

i haven't told mrs c we're going yet
seems she's too wrapped up in the equestrian on tv!

You've got to be quick off the mark with you lot! There I was considering coming to my first AFF do after reading the planning thread and you're all booked up.

Anyway, consider me a bum on a seat at the kids table unless there are promotions to the big persons table. :D
