2013 F1 Thread

My brother worked on the movie "rush" doing the on car camera scenes. I will try and attached some photos of "behind the scenes" when I get a chance.

The logic side of my brain says: RB wouldn't skip a 1-2 just to screw webber.

The conspiracy side says: how on earth does Webber's car always fail and Vettels doesn't. And they let Vettel drive to the end not webber.

After they double pitted Webber he was 10secs behind and tyres only a lap younger so had no real chance of catching Vettel who had been faster most weekend.

I do however suspect that Vettel gets most of the better mechanics on his side of the garage when things are done separately

I thought it was a good drive by Grosjean - he has come a long way from last year, where he looked like the likeliest driver not to get a 2013 drive at all, to the end of this season, where he seems to have matured a lot and drives pretty well.

I can't wait for this season to be over now and hopefully next season should hopefully see some other teams more competative.

Feeling much the same, Grojean is a future WDC I think. His efforts in GP2 before coming back to F1 were very good.

You can tell Webber has had enough of the circus though now, can't really blame it.

And really a $38,000 fine for Red Bull for Vettel doing some doughnuts? Really.. FIA needs to get a grip as they're losing some of their most loyal followers with cough like that, me included.

Given the current push by the FIA for safe driving campaigns, it would be wrong for them to do nothing. And yes the irony of a motor racing association promoting safe driving isn't lost on me either.

I seem to remember Yarno Trulli and Alexander Wurz also being in similar categories, and they went on to be great...uhmm...

At least he didn't give anyone a lift back to the pits.

I agree with you about the FIA. They need to remember the the sport is a spectator sport, so we need the occasional spectacle!

$38,000 for the doughnuts? Worth every cent (even though I don't like Vettel)

Yeah, that $38k is really going to hurt either Vettel or RBR......

Agreed, it was a highlight of the race for me! I'm not Vettel fan but serioulsy the guy had just won his 4th WDC, let him celebrate a little!

What's next? Banning the spraying of the champers on the podium? Although I believe they change that in the Middle East?

Is it safe to say Vettel is a pure Kunst? ;)

C'mon its a German word!
