MS most likely to remain in a PVS for the rest of his life.

Is that from an official source? The article Markis and NM linked was pure speculation from a tabloid paper, so I personally don't think it holds much weight. I'd rather wait for official word and wish the family would release more information so the speculation is put to bed. My fingers are still crossed.

As stated in post #43 it is what was reported on TEN tonight.

Quote from Gary Hartstein F1 chief medic between 2005 and 2012 "It is extremely unlikely - and I'd honestly say virtually impossible - that the Michael we knew prior to this fall will ever be back"

As expected the first official pre-race practice was interesting:

Good to see RIC get some decent stints in.
He was first to set times and was No 1 on the leaderboard and improving times for the first 30min before the Mercedes took over, but the Bulls appear more focussed on doing some longer stints with fuel loads (or else their top speed is really low).

I note for any F1 fan that the Android/iPad app gives a lot more information than the PC based live timing,
and at the moment the season passes are discounted to around $11/12 (in prior years it has been double this)

I might actually pay that, as the previous seasons' cost of close to $30 was too steep for me to justify.

Reversal of pre season.

Ham lasted 9 corners, whereas Ric did amongst the highest number of laps.

I'm hoping the sound of that V6 grows on me throughout the season. Right now all I can think is bring back the V8.

Great to see Ricciardo up there with plenty of laps in Practice 1 and top 5 time. Can't wait for tomorrows quali, there we'll finally see the teams true colors for the first time.
