First time in a long time I'm not going to the gp. Working all weekend but will find time I'm sure to watch.

Thinking of doing a Suzuka trip later this year...via GUM of course!

Anyone a member of or know of a good F1 tipping site? If so - I could invite a few people/set up a comp if there are enough of us F1 fans here to make it worthwhile.

The first few races are usually a lottery anyway but could be fun.

Have you tired the hilton Honors fantasy racing site, you need to have an account base in the US or Uk from memory, being a F1 fraternity member I am sure we all commute ;)

Will be interesting to hear/see Webber in commentary. Would give us a lot if insightful info.

He was just in the Channel 10 on-track studio being interviewed.

Yep, according to the article I read he was doing Fri/Sat up until Qual but will be at home tomorrow in Noosa.

He arrived in Melbourne on Wednesday and will leave late on Saturday, watching Sunday’s season-opening race at his holiday home in Noosa.“I didn’t stop [F1] to hang out at racetracks all the time,” Webber told Fairfax Media. “I don’t want to be a spare part. I did my thing, mate, now I have other things to do.”
He’ll spend most of his time at Albert Park with guests in the hospitality suite of his new sports car racing employer Porsche and making promotional appearances for Red Bull, which continues as a personal sponsor.
In between, Webber will join Channel 10’s commentary team during Friday’s practice and Saturday’s qualifying sessions.

I think this whole season will be a bit if a lottery, only time will tell.

I am glad there is a bit of water, shows how well some of the smaller names can drive, evens out the cars pretty quickly

oh no. Stop the clocks, the champ might not get into final qual.

I am just getting my first real chance to hear/listen to the new engines, they almost sound like throaty motorbikes... I still STRONGLY prefer the V10's

(I have been following F1 since somewhere between 92-94)

YEAHHHHH go DR!!! but then just got pipped :(

Would have loved to see him P1 instead of P2
