Shaping up to be a great season! Such a shame TEN ruins the race with commercials and Greg Rust.
Admittedly the only race I'll watch on TEN is this one - for the rest of the season I'll watch the Sky coverage uninterrupted.

Thats the problem, guess who has the V8s next year! They were terrible for the V8s as well today, getting their tens and hundreds mixed up on the timing.

Personally I am over tv stations with their cross advertising of their cough shows during the races , people like Mark Beretta with his huge white choppers , fake tan and was that Angela Bishop commentating today?

I must admit I couldn't believe bishop was commentating.

Is there a way to get SkyF1 HD feed? Don't mind paying for it of course.

Currently watch on vipbox but must be another way.

Agree, although it sounds worse on TV.
I can watch the race from my balcony and really enjoyed the old V8s sound (without the need to use earplugs).
This year is not the same, but I'm sure most of my neighbours are more pleased with the new sound.

I can see an AFF lunch at your place next year

Looks like Ricciardo will be stripped of second, fuel flow too high.

Foxtel will be your friend as they will have all races live plus practice and qualifying.

OT for F1 but for the V8 championship, I've got it series linked on Speed (Foxtel IQ).

While it isn't live this year, you see more on Speed's coverage. When Ch 7 go to a break, most times Aaron Noonan takes up the commentary. I've lost count on how much action Ch 7 misses when they go to a break.

Next year on Fox should be great - live & all races will be ad free except Bathurst.

Was just reading that on....hope not but they're the rules!
Red Bull will be appealing any disqualification.

Edit: From Formula 1® - The Official F1® Website

"Daniel Ricciardo’s second-place finish in Sunday’s season-opening race in Australia is under threat after his Red Bull car was found to have ‘exceeded consistently the maximum allowed fuel flow of 100 kg/h’ - a breach of Article 5.1.4 of the technical regulations.

The FIA’s technical delegate Jo Bauer has referred the matter to the race stewards in Melbourne who must now decide whether to take action. Ricciardo's podium finish was the first of his career."

I saw on Facebook of all places that he's now been disqualified. They are appealing, but when has an appeal ever done any good in F1?

Pretty harsh if the sensor has failed so no intent.

How is that any different to say Button smashing his nosecone off - car is no longer compliant with the rules, but is allowed as it was non-intentional.

If it's intentional (part was fitted intentionally with high flow rate) - then full penalty. But again, for a failure, there really should be consideration of no penalty / suspended penalty.

Sounds like there is a good case for Red Bull with the appeal. Apparently the faulty sensor that was removed on Friday was then put back in (on the FIA's instructions) after the replacement one was also found to be faulty on Saturday. Apparently the FIA told Red Bull to reduce their fuel flow to ensure the sensor didn't report too high fuel flow or something along those lines. Now that has to be the dumbest solution in the history of F1 if it's true ... Tell a team to reduce their ability to compete despite no evidence that the rules were getting broken prior but just to accommodate a faulty sensor. And they say NASCAR is like WWE.

Yes but the Referees never take kindly to someone not following specific directions.

the more things change, the more they stay the same. I was hoping DR would get MR's RedBull luck, but it seems he has inherited it.

I wonder how long before Vettel starts taking all the good parts off Ricardo's car...
