Nearly gave myself a hernia laughing earlier. There was a clip of Billy S running- well sort of. I don’t know what came into his mind to project that image. CP however would be worse, but to his credit appears to have lost quite a bit of weight.

Sorry I missed the debate, I had to wash my hair.

A good read about voting, is Bernald Salt's column in The Weekend Australian magazine last Sat. The notion of having a Australian Vote Exchange, to enable voters to openly sell their votes to the political parties, with a Vote Trading Regulatory Authority, headed by a retired politician on a six figure salary has merit :)

And watching 7:30 for the last few weeks, she has done nothing but highlight LNP shortcomings but never even mentioned some of Bill's bloopers such as new superannuation taxes, climate change policy costs, etc

So would take what she says with a grain of salt

Tingle doesn't even pretend to be impartial these days. The biggest joke is when she attempts to present herself as a knowledgeable authority on economics!

He lost a lot of weight maybe a year ago but seems to have put a lot more back on recently. Never a great look to jog like that.

Yes, I thought the same. He should take up token sportism for the cameras, eating sausage sambos, drinking with the boys, putting on more hard hats, all for marketing purposes of course.

Edit, and a spot of sheep shearing ...

I was trying to listen to the blah, blah, blah, but I thought I heard Morrison say that an EV cost $26K. But isn’t it more like $50K +, in reply to the failed amateurish attemp at a gotcha moment of asking Shorten how much a Birthday cake, I mean EV, cost? Shorten pointed out they were over priced, which I understood is part of the reason that people are not buying them.

He still didn’t know anything about electric vehicles even though he was questioned 3 days previously.

I thought ScoMo said an EV would cost $26k more than his own car.

Yes we do the Toyota Camry Hybrid at $29000 and an electric car tends to be about $55,000 or $26,000 more.
Currently the Camry Hybrid is probably less polluting than using grid power to re-charge an electric vehicle.
Billy hasn’t thought it out.

Cool, I'll be numbering below the line, 1 to 12. There are 17 candidates in the A.C.T. which mean I don't have to put a number against my 'local senator', well not 'my' local senator actually, as I told him last week at a local shopping centre, I would never vote for him as I was disgusted with how he usurped the locally elected senator in 2013, nasty business. That senator was actually well liked and it still amazes me that the local Liberal branch allegedly knifed him like they did to put in place this person.

Hopefully he will also get his just deserts for his part in backstabbing the previous PM.

Backstabber should perhaps be his middle name! :)

If I had an EV I’d be charging it from my solar battery stored power. There was something in the Australian paper today about manufacturing an EV in Australia by GHG I think it was. There are some absolute experts in Australia that can advise any future PM about getting into the 21st-century regarding EV’s. EV’s don’t need to be charged from the grid. Distributed power has been around for a long time and more people are getting onto it, especially with the rather criminal over investment that’s been allowed in poles and wires.

He also voted against what his electorate wanted.

A number of letters in the the CT today about the senator in question and the lack of any standing up for Canberra. I'm with you here. :)

Yes I read the letters page of the CT today at my local coffee shop, one which I have seen the man in question frequent more than several times, the last time I saw him there he had a copy of a book on islamic state on the table, it was face down as he seemed to be engrossed with perusing the 'gossip' column of the daily tele!

Probably hoping he got a mention. Had to laugh. :)

I hope he does, but unfortunately very hard to have anything other than 1 senator from each major party. I vote below the line for the satisfaction of putting him last.

Of course there can be significant greenhouse gasses generated in the manufacturing of the actual batteries used to store the power as well as the panels.

EVs are inevitable as Josh F pointed out when he was Energy Minister. We have some of the most polluting cars in the developed world. If most of the other developed world can get around it, we may be able to manage as well based on all their collective experience.

Except that those places are completely different geographically to Australian cities except maybe Canberra and they have excellent public transport facilities. They can cycle.
