One more set of pre-season testing to come 10-12 March, then season opener - both in Bahrain

The Ukraine fallout continues with UK Motorsport banning all Russian and Belarusian drivers from competeting in any Motorsport in the UK.
This means Mazepin will not be allowed to race in the British GP even if he is able to keep his seat at Haas. Furthermore……… “ no Russian/Belarusian national symbols, colours, flags (on uniform, equipment and car) to be displayed at Motorsport UK-permitted events”

One way to support Dan

Plus, since Ukraine is in the news, the Lego Foundation is pledging their support for children and families

I wonder if this will create a seat for Oscar Piastri?
If only. Although he might be better off as a reserve for a year rather than in a Haas.

Likely it'll be Fittipaldi who's their reserve.

Guenther Steiner said earlier this week that Fittipaldi would be first in line to replace Mazepin, but money talks loud at the back of the grid so Antonio Giovinazzi Is a possibility given he is a Ferrari Academy driver, which may sweeten the price of engines for Haas.
Piastri I fear is third in line for promotion, but his time will come.

Agree Gio. Can't see Piastri being given a leave pass by Renault, but I don't think that'll matter as his pockets are deep enough I suspect.

Thinking back on it, Oscar would be better off at Renault. He can pick Alonso's brain and benefit from his experience, which would be more than he can get at Haas.

And the winner is……. Kevin Magnussen. He will take Mazepin‘s seat at Haas.

KMag an interesting choice but a good yardstick to compare Mick Schumacher - if he doesn't get on top of KMag then his odds longer term of a top level drive will go down....
