Track going to have similar issues to Jeddah it would seem - very high speed, narrow with walls.

Turn 10 doesn’t look like a turn in a modern F1 car……

Kayo - $150 12 month (special deal - you can get $180/$200 on some current promos) better than Foxtel Sports $29 per month.
I get Kayo for $5/month as part of my Telstra mobile plan - as compensation for when they took away the free AFL feed in Dec 2020. If you have a Telstra account back then, it might be worth checking.

I have been with Virgin/Optus mobile for last seven years.

Telstra NBN would give me Kayo for $15 per month for 12 months when my current subscription ends.

Interesting that DRS may make things a bit more interesting at this track.

Ultimately Dan's fault at the first corner, but he was way too conservative braking.

He was a good car length ahead of Sainz and let him comfortably take the outside line at the corner.
Compare to Lando ahead who was more inline with LeClerc and squeezed him out.

Considering doing a trip to Singapore and Japan for the back-to-back in early October. Has anyone been to either before? I was last in Japan 15 years ago, so would love to explore the country again... F1 a good excuse?

Done both.
Singapore is probably better for the casual fan. Suzuka is for the purists.

Singapore
+ Track close to city, many MRT stops
+ Lots of quality entertainment post race at the music stands
+ Night race so most of day to self

Suzuka
+ Amazing track with massive elevation changes - I walked most of the track one day
+ Japanese crowd far more invested in race
+ Theme park and Ferris wheel included

Suzuka you really need to base yourself in Nagoya and catch the regional train (about 45min) in and out each day, then a good 20+min walk to track.

Did Bay Grandstand in Singapore, which has a great view of the city and sunset and is a fairly slow section with big TV screens, but limited overtaking.
Also got an invite into the Singapore Cricket Club on Day 2 which is nearer to Empress Grandstand and a fast spot.
Other expensive option is Singapore is some hotel room suites and the like with full catering (eg - Singapore Grand Prix Viewing Only & Hospitality Package)

Suzuka I was in B1 stand with a great view down the Ss

F1 is always a good excuse.

A nice early start for Spain

Dan starting ahead of Lando.

And a good effort in the F2s from Jack Doohan. Got pole, 6th in the Sprint and 2nd in the Main Race.

It's a hot race and many are tipping two or three pitstops.

Ver got the gold plated service from Per.

Ric started ahead of Nor and ended up nowhere - and possibly nowhere come 2023 if performance doesn’t pick up rapidly. Nor also fighting tonsillitis all weekend - and still trumped Ric.
