McLaren with another awesome Monaco livery (after Gulf Oil in prior years).
They didn't go the full out M smoking livery as teased.. rather a Brazil senna tribute.

The commentators tried hard to bring strategy into it.. but think Ferrari did a great job managing it, then the stops from HAM and VER ended any chance of it.

Apparently Oscar grazed one of the walls with 5 laps to go which caused the sudden gap to appear.

^ This. Not great for those of us spectating, but superb race management from Ferrari knowing that they would always be under serious threat from McLaren.

Was great to see LEC take it out and get that monkey off his back. Despite the lacklustre racing, it was a very emotional victory for him and made for one of those "feel good" stories we like to see in F1. Plus, it's another race that was not dominated by VER or RBR, so that's also a positive. In fact, that's now 3 of 8 races - and so very nearly 4 of 8 - this year that have not been won by VER, which already puts the '24 season ahead of last year's Championship.

As for the lap 1 crash... very surprised that K-Mag wasn't penalised as there was never enough room for that move. Real shame for Hulk and Checo as neither deserved to have their races ended like that. And as for Ocon....

Idiot Wtf GIF

Wonder if Alpine are going to bench him for a race and give Jack Doohan an opportunity to show what he can do?

Poor Checo down the back with the loose cannons lol

May have been slightly more interesting if not for Carlos' free ticket on the restart after his puncture , and Oscar and Lando were right behind Charles to have a go and play some games...
