2024 Qantas Inflight safety video

Saw it for the first time HKG-SYD on the weekend - unshortened version (as recently reported). I was really conflicted between watching it, as I know I should, and averting my eyes, in front of an FA. I focussed on the seatbelt, lifejacket, exits and floor lighting demos.

I then had it again on SYD-HBA. That flight, I didn't even pretend. God, its nauseous.

I am on QF 87 Syd > Seoul. Turns out they have a Korean version of the video after as well. In Korean, show Korean destinations and its shorter but the combined 2 videos feels like a feature length film.
The Koreans don't cough on for the sake of it.

We all know this stuff but will we know it when we need it? Training normally kicks in.

KISS.

On a recent MEL-ADL flight, I reckon a QantasLink one got loaded up in error.

Instead of the video it was just the audio with the crew doing their part with the seatbelts, life jacket, oxygen mask etc.

At least it was direct and to the point.

Nope that’s quite common on 737s and was standard for a while when the new video was released without a separate video for aircraft without life rafts.

Cabin crew have the ability to pick audio only if they want.

That's normal when the video isn't working for some reason (or can't be used given differences between the video and the aircraft) or on an aircraft with no IFE screens.
