As long as you have the proof, just eventually takeit to ombudsman. Ie: written that you would get 20k points. then screen shots showing that none have been credited to your qff account/statements.

Does anyone know if the offer has been extended, available for new sign ups?

The link says it is 10k QFF now. Conditions are:

(a) apply for a new ANZ Income Protection policy, either online via the links specified by OnePath Life, in this case anz.com/protect, or over the phone by calling 1300 464 888 or another number specified by OnePath Life;
(b) hold and pay the premium for the ANZ Income Protection policy for a minimum period of six (6) consecutive months; and
(c) supply their Qantas Frequent Flyer membership details to OnePath Life within 30 days of taking up the ANZ Income Protection policy.

If customers acquire more than one eligible OnePath policy with the same product name, they are only eligible to be credited with bonus points available as part of an acquisition incentive once and cannot use this offer in conjunction with any other acquisition offer for this product. Please note that customers who have held an ANZ Income Protection policy within the previous 12 months are not eligible to be awarded bonus points for the acquisition of a new policy of the same name (even if the policy is cancelled prior to applying for the new policy). The ability to earn Qantas Points for every $1 of premium you pay in accordance with the OnePath Frequent Flyer Rewards Terms and Conditions (PDF 128kB) is not impacted by this acquisition offer.

Bonus Qantas Points may take up to 2 months after the minimum holding period of 6 months has expired to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.[/quote]

That this is a tax deductible points buying opportunity is pretty good too. I managed to get an annual premium offer of $79.21 which is pretty attractive - less than $0.008 per point - not even 1c!

I'm having an issue with them.
Took out a policy for my daughter well over 12 months ago, closer to 18 months.
Points did not post.
Followed it up and ANZ who said that points had bounced back because the name of the account and name in QF did not match. My daughter has since married.
We updated QFF account and advised ANZ
Heard nothing
Followed it up and been told that points must be claimed within 12 months of premium being paid.
Last action is I have responded advising " how is that possible when policy has to be held for over 12 months etc "
Asked for a response advising whether they intend to pay the points or not.
Why do these organisations make it so hard to get the points that one is entitled to

Make an official complaint, and also take it to banking big boys.

Make nite that when it was applied, the name was correct, but then married.

Same wavelength....told them I want an answer by 24th November or go to complaint process
after a while the points are irrelevant it becomes a matter of principle to me.

I have many 'record of conversations' adding up to hours on the phone. I lodged an official complaint saying I now wanted 40,000 points to in a small way make up for my time and utter frustration. Almost immediately I was given 30,000 points. The complaints dept called about a week later and said they could only give me 5,000, not an extra 10K. I was at the end of my patience with ANZ / Onepath and said I want 10K or I'm taking the complaint further. The complaints dept stuck to 5,000 and that they would post said 5,000 points in the meantime. They said they would write making the 5K offer and then I could decide whether to escalate the complaint.

I wasn't sure if the complaints person knew I'd been given 30K points and I did not mention it, but am now waiting for the letter. I have not got the 5K points as yet. I may decide that I have wasted enough time on this. Let it be a warning for any new people going for it.

I wonder how many people take out these policies and either forget about the points or don't pursue it.
Surely they would not be relying on people doing that
However could I think that ?

Make sure those affected lodge complaints. ANZ needs to be held accountable. Similarly QFF should know that the organisations they partner with are hurting the image of QFF.

Well, after lots of frustration and complaining on my part and threats that I intended to take it to every ombudsperson I could think of, and general dishevelment from ANZ / OnePath, we now have 50K points that have been credited.

So, it was just about worth the hours on the phone getting the royal run around treatment.

I didn't get on the 20k offer in time, but did the 10k/6 months which just posted.

Hmm, may be worth checking the T&Cs to see if we cancel, at what point can we reply for another 10 or 20K points?

Anyone tried it? :p
