You would think if they were going to do it they would have done it today, get all the bad news out in one hit rather than spooking the market, customers and staff again in 6 months time..

They are still working it out given the aircraft retirements etc.

Still can't work out what business can afford to get rid of 5000 staff. What kind of management let's it get to that level?

We don't run our business with 1 extra staff let alone 5000!
As posted, I suspect many roles will be fulfilled by third parties. (AKA Outsource)

Perth to Singapore is a busy route.
My dream of going 787 from Perth to London direct on QFI is looking a bit shaky right now.

Presumably many positions then filled by contractors, on much lower rates, no super etc

How does someone responsible for companies corporate performance, deliver its worst result ever, get away with blaming everything else but himself and still keep his job, outstanding AJ

So The final betrayal of Perth QF customers. First hong kong and now Singapore. So where can I fly on QFI metal ex perth? Auckland over summer. Wow!!!!

Any OneWorld flights to SIN now have to go via "anywhereelse"

He has to go , there is no 2 ways about it . So does the board.

I can't seem to find any reference to a sale (full or partial) of QFF as was rumoured as a potential. I wonder if that's now off the table?

Or any mention of the 65% 'line in the sand'?
