I think the ING orange everyday is pretty good too. Only 2.50A$ per overseas withdrawal. The FX rates are not too bad either if I am not mistaken.
Probably I compared it to my previous experience with Westpac and other banks I thought it was pretty good. But you are probably right. I dont use creditcards for cash withdrawals. I have the 28 degrees card as well. I should have tried it.
You are paying around 3% in margin in the FX on top of the $2.50, no contest with Citibank where I often take $20 a time form the ATM, no fee and little FX markup.
Such as when arriving in a new country and needing cash in small denominations. First time I arrived at VNO and withdrew LTL200 to find I received a single LTL200 note and that was a big problem for a taxi driver to provide change for a LTL15 fare. So next time I made 2 separate withdrawals or LTL100, which resulted in 4 x LTL50 notes, which some taxi drivers still balk at, but is better than an even bigger note. With no ATM fees, the resulting cost is the same as single transaction.... but overseas love the Citibank card for the fact I can withdraw just as much cash as I need ...
I now use the combination of Citi Plus account and 28 Degrees Master Card. I use the Citu card for cash withdrawls and keep enough balance in the account to cover those transactions, and retain the 28 Degrees card for purchases. This gives the best of both sides. By using the 28 Degrees card for purchases I now have the full statement period to pay it off, rather than always retaining a credit balance to avoid cash advance fees. So its likely to end up being GE Money's loss since they now fund the credit card purchases for up to 30 days for me rather than them having the use of my money for that time. So works out of for me.
It is on you statement or .pdf...
I do not remember receiving a notification yet I accidentally found it on their website.
On the page I hardly ever read. I really need to pay more attention to these things. It is on you statement or .pdf

ING direct everyday orange has no FX fees on ATM withdrawals - only the $2.50 fee. They have an FX fee on purchases though.
I have compared it to Citi plus, as both are Visa. Rate is exactly the same (plus $2.50).

I was also using it for withdrawals in Australia and most of the time I would pay interest as well. But I am not paying an ATM withdrawal fee and interest at the same time. Why? It is still perfect for what it was designed as, a credit card with no international fees.

I now do not have a credit card I can use for ATM withdrawals as all my other cards are tied up with balance transfers.
Okay, each to their own I guess. I have never known anyone to willingly cop the 20% interest on a cash advance when you can get it for free using a normal cash bank account.
1. Yes until 1/1/14Regarding the 28 degrees, can i still pre load it and withdraw overseas FEE FREE? or are they charging a % for this now?? This changes from 01/01/14?
I have the citibank as my backup, is that still fee free and currency conversion free with atm withdrawals overseas?
thanks!!
