Thanks for the additional maths Deka...I have the Citibank Signature fee free for life...
TBH whilst I have held 28Deg for years I have only ever used it as 'mobile wallet' to withdraw funds whilst o/s and never actually used it as a credit card for purchases.
How does the 28Deg exchange rate compare to say Citi for o/s purchases?
For point of exercise below recent Select transaction when I took up USDM offer of 100K miles + 50% bonus:

Anybody here use 28Deg for same purchase?

Which is not where I intended to head - rather just give a comparison bw a rewards pts earning card V non rewards pts earning card.you're basically then just comparing Visa's exchange rate vs Mastercard exchange rate,

Sorry if I confused anyone - my transaction was with Citi Select - 5pts/$1 eff 3.33KFpts/$1But neither Citi (assume by that you meant Citibank Plus?) nor 28 degrees are rewards point earning.

I concur - about 1c/KFptOK. Well my rough guesstimate is you paid about A$70 more to use Citi Select over 28 Degrees. But you got 6600 KF points for that.
It's basically been the payola for the 3% - pay more for points/miles on purchases.I concur - about 1c/KFpt
YES - no such thing as a free lunch huh? It's basically been the payola for the 3% - pay more for points/miles on purchases.
With the cash facility it's been a no brainer - as no points earn in any case.
Just need a refresh:
Max ATM withdrawal per day:
28 degrees:
Citi plus card:

If the Aussie dollar ever moves sharply lower $1,000AUD won't buy much overseas.
Even if the AUD fell through the floor to USD 0.50, which I think is the lowest it's ever been since it was floated in 1983, that's still a lot of cash to withdraw from an ATM! I almost never withdraw or carry more than $100 in cash!
Really? Last time in Sing I had to use 3 28 degrees accounts over 2 days to get enough cash out!
Do you really shop at so many places that won't take a credit card payment on the 28 Degree Card?Really? Last time in Sing I had to use 3 28 degrees accounts over 2 days to get enough cash out! But the Fx rate is worth almost any hassle.
