Maybe 3 days. How long did it take to get the confirmation email?

That'll be fine, the FAQ item "I forgot to make my exclusive benefit choice, what can I do?" actually says that even if you didn't sign up for the offer before applying for the card, you can still do it afterwards.Just got the confirmation email. I applied to the cc prior to that. Hopefully there won't be any drama
Not clarified in the T&C, looks like a blurry point. The FAQ item "I forgot to make my exclusive benefit choice, what can I do?" is the only one being more precise and says you also have to apply by end of March.Re-reading the terms and conditions, it's not 100% clear if you need to apply for the card before 31 March, or if you just need to choose which benefit.
...
It only says you need to choose the benefit before 31 march. And some of the cards on the page have different timeframes e.g. Westpac :
20Bonus Velocity Points Promotion Altitude Platinum: To qualify for this promotion you must apply and be approved for a new Altitude Velocity Platinum card between 6 December 2022 - 29 June 2023
I wonder if I applied after 31 March if it would still be honoured? Anyone have any suggestions on how to find out?

Last year it was after the first for bonus pointsOn the Virgin Money cards which split the reward for minimum spend over 4 months - what do we expect the trigger for the 250 status credit to operate is? Is it after all 4 months? Or after the first? Anyone have any experience with this I can’t determine from any terms, thanks
I am about to get my 3rd statement and 25000 points. So , you sure that i am not eligible.Last year it was after the first for bonus points
I am interested to know this as well. I am currently Virgin Gold with a year ending in July. I won't get enough status credits to retain but with the 250 from this offer I would.Last year it was after the first for bonus points

Nice offer and comes at the perfect time. Was going to be applying for one of the virgin money cards in the next couple of weeks.
Declined as well - suspect due to recent applications (churning) or starting new job within the last 12 months (although same industry). Oh well.Declined for the virgin money flyer card. Suspect it’s due to either taking out another NAB card a few weeks ago or having had the Citi personal loan with the 150k velocity points late last year. Don’t have much in the way of other CC limits or refent applications so wouldn’t think it would be anything else.
Hey, my 3rd month statement is due in a week or so. I will see if i get status credits or not and update the thread.Well I just somewhat unexpectedly received 250 SCs when my second month of 25K points hit from the Virgin Money card. Clearly the card was opened well before the promotion started so shouldn't have been eligible. I suspect the true answer to when the bonus will post is "the first instance of 25K points to hit your VFF account after choosing your bonus".
@Spp did your month 3 hit yet and did you get your selected bonus?
My guess would be that from a technical and legal/privacy perspective, given that the bonus is applied by VFF and not the bank, it was probably too hard to set up any kind of link to communicate back to VFF about when you opened the card. So they went for a much simpler solution of "if a transaction hits the account with a particular description and/or points value after they select their bonus, credit their selected bonus". A fringe benefit of the fact that the Virgin Money cards pay out in 4 instalments rather than one hit.
This may also explain the vagueness in the ts&cs around when the card account needs to be opened.
Personally very happy with this unexpected bonus: with upcoming flying I have booked should now requal for WP rather than dropping down to gold.
Thanks for the data point. Cancelled one in November, I might just opt for the slightly worse value Westpac Velocity Platinum option, but far more likely to be approved.Declined for the virgin money flyer card. I would apply to the virgin money given the current generous 130k offer. Just apply to the one with 6k limit. Not sure that closing your citi has any adverse effect, on the contrary, it probably makes it esieer. My data point: I have a 35k limit citi and got approved on the 6k virgin money, granted everyone circumstances differ.Any advice on what card to apply for, if I just closed the Citibank 60,000 offer? I think my options are either the AMEX, or Virgin Money card (I've done Westpac Qantas within the exclusion period and BOQ Specialist I'm not eligible for).
I'm a bit doubtful I'll be approved for the Virgin Money card, given I just closed my Citibank card...
