I don't think Vodafone know what they're doing actually. I had to ring and was told it would be activated in 24 hours (been 18 and hasn't). MrsDaver6 rang and said she needs to ring back in 24 hours as the SIM number wasn't yet in their system. She specifically asked about going in store and was told that wasn't an option. This should be interesting...

This was my experience too, but have now got a working phone, registered for online services, submitted the points claim form, received email confirmation of such and have added a date to my calendar to check... ;)

See you all in 29 days!

I placed the order on Sunday evening for the E9,
Received phone on Tuesday afternoon (18/12/18), after which I submitted the form for the points.

40,000 points have now credited Thursday 20/12/18, well before the 30 day timeline. I’ll still hold off and cancel in a month :)

Just like motef, the sim activated itself overnight. That was for my wife’s. No need to go to Vodafone shop.

For my one, the sim activated as soon as I put it into my phone.

WOW. That’s impressively fast to get the points!

Just got the phone and SIM, put the sim in an old iphone - no dramas SIM was already activated

Maybe because I'm in WA it took longer to arrive hence already activated... either way, if the points post within 2 days I'll be stoked :)

Thanks for the heads up everybody. Just checked my account and yep they have posted already, same for my wife. Brilliant stuff

Phone out of stock for me as well. Has anyone been able to do SIM only?

SIM only requires a 12mo contract period, so it's only worthwhile if you were actually looking for an $80 per month SIM plan (which I most certainly am not) and it just happened to be a sweetener. The handset deal had the benefit of allowing you to pay out the handset earlier which is where the true benefit of this deal was when paired with a very cheap handset.

Hi people. Does this seem correct? I’ve got the cheapest phone possible as the rest are out of stock.

So the total to pay would be $90 if I cancel before the end of the month?

Ordered the phone online on Monday. Received the phone on Tuesday and submitted points claim that night. 40,000 points posted today. pretty efficient.

The phone you've selected is over 36 months. If you went to cancel you'd be up for $400+ as you need to pay the handset cost out.

So do I select 12 months?

It won't matter what term you select - the handset will still cost $379 on its own.

phone activated, but didnt receive any email for the points claim form

Likewise. I'm going to give it a week and then call up, if you decide to call earlier could you please report back with how it goes?
