5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

I said I wasn't going to chase Qantas points but....

Is this targeted? I got the email but not my wife.

Need 1 night in Ladkrabang next April so can book that now fully refundable anyway with free transfer to/from airport.

Also have 4 nights booked in January and a very early taxi next morning from Pattaya to BKK airport. I can split into 3 nights in Pattaya and 1 night in Ladkrabang and currently that looks to be $20 more expensive so that's 10,000 QFF points for $20.

Also trying to work out if I book 3 consecutive single night stays in same hotel whether that will trigger bonus. Either way I think if I can also book in wife's QFF account that's an easy 30,000 QFF points for next to nothing.

Dang, 1 week after I booked :\
Thankfully still some cities to look at... assume we can book 3x 1 night stays instead of a 3 night stay, and get the points for each one?

T&Cs have been updated, now minimum $100 spend
Not only that, but they have also revised the offer dates to start "from 12:01 am (AEST) 1 August 2024 until 11:59 pm (AEST) 5 August 2024 where you stay before 5 August 2025."

What happens with all previous bookings made on 30 and 31 July that would otherwise have been eligible?

Does anyone have experience if consecutive back to back bookings (meeting the $100 AUD minimum each) count as separate bookings?

I'd suggest still eligible.

If booked under the terms as @Mattg published in post #1, then it would seem legally that would stand.
Qantas Frequent Flyer members will earn 5,000 bonus Qantas Points on any international Qantas Holidays and Qantas Hotels booked through qantas.com/holidays and qantas.com/hotels from 12:01 am (AEST) 30 July 2024 until 11:59 pm (AEST) 5 August 2024 for travel up until 5 August 2025. If your booking is amended in the future, you will not earn the Bonus Points but will earn the points applicable for the booking at the time of amendment. Bonus Qantas Points will be issued to the member who has made the booking and is valid for redemption up to 3 times on the first 3 eligible bookings made. This is in addition to the standard earn rate of 3 points per A$1 spent on the total booking value. Points will be credited within 6 weeks of hotel check-out.

As luck would have it I am in Bali at the moment and toying with the idea of doing 3x 1 night at the place across the street, as already have a booking. Wondering if I am totally insane to do this? $321 for ~16000 points? I am not far off points club hence the idea

Make sure you wait until 12.01am AEST 1st August!

Well

Having booked before 1 August under the original terms and conditions u would have thought they would be honoured

I’m not rusted onto “having to have the points”

Remember the bank / casino always wins

The original T&Cs (no minimum spend on bookings made between 30 July and 5 August) are still showing here: https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer.html#hotels-holidays-disclaimer

They are also in the email that some people received today.

These are the full original T&Cs as published on the Qantas website:

Another stuff up by Qantas, suggest people save the original offer given they are now clearly trying to weasel out of it. Why am I not surprised.
Yup will save the original email!!!
In the Ts and Cs sent by email:
"There is no minimum spend threshold to be eligible to earn bonus points. "
I suggest everyone save the email!!

I just spent the last few hours trying to find 3 cheap hotels in various places in Chile and Brazil and how to strategically book 3 separate one night stays. I haven't made any bookings yet so I guess it's too late to try to use the original t&cs. The cheapest I was finding in Chile were $50-60ish a night.

Unless they have resent you an email advising of the revised T&Cs I personally think you are entitled to rely on the original email. Of course this is Qantas so even if you win the argument eventually they will make you work for it so the question is how much your time is worth.

I honestly can't see how Qf can "weasel" themselves out of the original offer that we all received by email today....alot of us made our hotel bookings today after the email, and then sometime today, the Ts and Cs have changed significantly....Qantas Hotel needs to inform us by email that the Ts and Cs have changed...until then they have to / should / must abide by the original Ts and Cs....

Totally agree but history suggests Qantas has a history of making things difficult in the hope people give up. And not confident they won’t try here.

What about those without an email?

I could easily make 3 bookings >$100 for each booking but was trying to get 3 bookings in wife's name as well but she has not received email.
