"The partner promotion code is invalid". Looks like I missed the boat
Yep, 100% sure I was doing the right thing. Seems there's now confirmation from others that I wasn't just screwing up the process. Too generous indeed.Really, you sure you put the code in as you join Krisflyer? It's not for velocity.
If SQ closed the promotion, I wouldn't be surprised. It's too generous. Their original intention is to encourage people to use Krisflyer, and since you are not allowed to combine miles between KF accounts, they probably think that most people who joined would wanna make use of this 5000 miles by crediting more miles into it, thus improving their business. They completely overlooked the loop hole of ability to transfer to VA and the ability of family transfers with VA. So all these miles have gone to VA and KF is hemorrhaging money.

Signed up a few days ago, and TBH forgot to check until tonight that they had arrived. And they have.
Hopefully it is a temporary block due to the sudden activity. What's worse is KF has now blocked all transferring of KF miles to VA. You can't link the accounts anymore (at least for those just opened and received the 5000 miles).
Still got 2x5000 miles stuck in 2 accounts that I didn't transfer because I didn't have their velocity number at the time.

They are probably panicking. .
They have probably blocked the transfer on new account until they fix the problem....
For those of you that managed to get the free miles transferred I doubt they can claw them back as it wasn't against the terms and conditions of the sign-up bonus!!

Read the few posts above yours....promo is now dead apparentlyI am trying to enrol my son. He is 16 and lives at the same address as me, and I want to use my own email address (to ensure I keep an eye on things; you know how teenagers are).
I keep getting "The partner promotion code is invalid" when I submit the form on singaporeair.com. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
I would like to thank Singapore Airlines for running such an excellent promotion. After all the various 'simpler and fairer' changes that we have had to accept in recent times, it was very nice to have a program that donated you 5000 points simply for signing up. My VA account is now 3704 points richer. I doubt I will ever credit any flights to my new SQ membership but thanks again Singapore Airlines for giving me the chance.
