50SC on offer with BP

I did the 5th top up on Monday. The box in my BP app saying how many more top ups I needed has gone although haven't yet got the SCs.

Mine came in today, which I though would be great for this years status credit count, however as soon as they landed they expired because I did all the petrol fill ups last membership year and they backdated it which I wasn't smart enough to plan for. 🤦‍♂️

However did add to life time count so at least that's okay.

Thanks. And were they dated as the date that they landed in your account, or the activity date?
Mmm looks like it dated to the first BP qualifying transaction... There will be some disappointment for some...

ah that's a right pain - there will certainly be disappointment for me. Will see what a whinge can do

Might also be the activation date btw. I activated on the same day from memory.

🤬

I guess I won’t bother trying for the remaining purchases if it’s only going to get me not so tantalisingly closer to LTP….

My anniversary date was 31 July - so ripped off again…..

I noticed that, made the 5th purchase on Sunday and very soon after the status box disappeared. Same thing happened when I made a qualifying purchase with the 20 x bonus points for buying snacks promo - the promo disappeared from my BP account very soon after purchase was made.

Is anyone also a Points Club member? I still have two separate 50 SC promos showing - it would be great to know whether I can expect 50 or 100 SC.

PC+ here. After the 5 first fuel, I used to still have the main offer card, plus a count down card that went as low as 3 left. I haven't refuelled since, and I only have the main offer card on the app now.
I doubt I'll burn enough petrol before 30 September, now that both ACT and regional NSW are in locked down.

Oh, I’d forgotten about the PC bonus. I was never sure if it was 2 x 50 or just the 1000 pts on top but interested to see how it pans out.

I called the QFF team about the credits being applied and instantly expiring this morning. Now they've just called me back and said they are investigating the possibility that they should have been rolled over with the membership year reset... so it looks like they may end up counting as part of this years haul, but only because I didn't max out my rollover. So if anyone else is in the same position might still be worth it... hopefully they will confirm this is the case soon!

Approx how long since your 5th transaction?
In my case, last transaction was 28 Jul, so just over a couple of weeks before they credited.

SCs were backdated to 14 August, date of first qualifying transaction, although I had activated a few days before, IIRC. Also got the 3x bonus for that transaction.

Doing another road trip next week, hopefully in advance of the next lockdown. PC member and there is still a card in my BP rewards app indicating the offer is there, but T&C indicate no additional SCs for extra fills. Have also filled again since qualifying, but there is no countdown indicator.

cheers skip

Agree - anticipate these SC should rollover if this wasn’t maxed out at membership year anniversary

I’m PCP and have completed 5x50.

SC are yet to post, but my BP rewards account has gone from showing two offers to one.

I was relying on @ChrisMars for verification, but looks like that won’t happen.

If no lockdowns, I will probably do a further five fills, but whether I credit to my own account on a very doubtful maybe, or credit to Miss H as a contribution to her LT tally is the question.

Surely they're not expecting PC members to fill up 10 times... surely..
I certainly didn’t expect 2x50SC after five fills.

There’s at least one confirmed case of a PC member being awarded 50SC, so surely that confirms you should not expect 100.

The question in my mind was whether the second email about the offer to PC members, and having two offers showing in the account means there are two concurrent offers - one global and one for PC. But I highly doubt it.

My QF membership date is 31/7, so I had deliberately timed this promo to credit in my new membership year. I will be very annoyed if the SCs don't rollover.
