re: 5xbonus at BP 'til 31Dec2011[Ext.to 31Mar2012] Must register your card.

It was asked previously but not answered, do I need to somehow register my supp card for these offers separately (they are both linked to the same account)?
No. All supplementary cards on the same account (once registered) will get the bonus.

Wish I'd seen this thread a week earlier, paid a $600 AAMI insurance renewal on Monday, even used the Amex could have had an extra 6,000 bonus points :(

I registered for the BP offer, did my first fill last night and also purchased a $50 gift card. Shall be interesting to see if the bonus points post for the gift card ...

I filled up and also got 8x $50 gift cards last week and points posted a few days later.
Need to fill up again tomorrow or Sunday and will get more gift cards to make the most of the offer.

My billing cycle kicks over on the 22nd of the month

So from the 23rd onwards I'll be buying a few thousand $$ worth of gift cards :)

re: 5xbonus at BP 'til 31Dec2011[Ext.to 31Mar2012] Must register your card.

Combine the plat reserve 3.9% offer and buy $5k worth of vouchers, that's half the points needed for a tix SYD-HKG tix.

Now I'll need to find a gift card friendly servo

Just filled up at my local (work), but couldn't see any gift cards. Going to have to check out when I have more time

To save me some hassle and time, would any kind AFFer who lives / works in Sydney (esp. lower North Shore area) please tell me which BPs you have bought the gift cards with AMEX without any hassles. I'm about to start picking them up, I think..... I just blew over 100K AMEX pts for an SQ J award to Cpt, and I need to restock my AMEX pts balance!

Tried for gift cards at a north east road BP in Adelaide yesterday, no dice. Will try hampsted road next.

You just have to make sure that the BP is not an "on the run" outlet as they do not sell gift cards.

re: 5xbonus at BP 'til 31Dec2011[Ext.to 31Mar2012] Must register your card.

I've got some Q's about this promo. Not about supp cards, but additional cards added to the same Ascent rewards program.

An existing Gold Amex Credit Card is registered and have received the bonus points from BP

A shiny new Plat Edge is in my hands and since the earn is x2 (at BP) i thought I'll register the card for the bonus points. Both cards (with supps) are linked to the same Ascent rewards account. I encountered a "You have already registered for this bonus. No further action is required" message.

1. Do you think the new Plat Edge card registered for the x5 bonus points promo?
2. I checked my Plat Edge earn on a shop over the weekend - $32 spend is yielded 64 points. Do you think x5 BP bonus points would be 32x5 or 64x5 points?

Just thought I would ask as I haven't had a chance to go to a BP yet.

The bonus points should post with the normal points for the transaction. All mine have. It is 5 bonus points per $ not 5x base points earn. So total points should be 7x$32

You would be registered

You should get 32x5 as it's "Register to earn 5 Bonus Points per $1 spent" BUT then you get the 2x32 with the points on the card :)

If you spend $32 on Plat Edge at BP you will earn;
1. 32 Base Points, PLUS
2. 32 x 5 = 160 Bonus Points
3. Total Earn will be 32 + 160 = 192 Points
