purchased 2 X $50.00 vouchers for the daughters Boyfriend and they wouldn't take any sort of credit card. said you can't pay for credit with credit.

But Gift Cards are not credit from the supplier. You are purchasing something in advance from them for which they are fully paid for.

Credit would be the reverse where you gain now, and pay later.

If you do not end up redeeming, they still keep the money too!!

BP Haberfield, NSW.
BP Ashfield on Parramatta Rd sold me $200 worth of gift cards and some iTunes cards and took Amex. Not too far away!

Not silly at all.

Do you think the $x00 you spend with them costs them $x00 to provide to you?

I dare say they're still making a profit depsite the point garnering (and allowing for amex %).

Plus they get the use of your $$$ until you spend the voucher....

Exactly. My family have spent in excess of $1500 in fuel that would have otherwise gone to Woolworths/Caltex. And I'm still trying to decide how many $$$ of gift vouchers to buy. That's all money in their pocket until we eventually redeem it for fuel

Likewise, a really good promo by BP.

A shame I will have to go back to Safeway petrol to get qff points :p

re: 5xbonus at BP 'til 31Dec2011[Ext.to 31Mar2012] Must register your card.

I bought $500 gift cards from Epping BP in NSW, paid via AMEX, no problems at all. I think I will get 3000 points for that.

You must drive a lot:shock:...at my best guess, I only use about $1000 worth of fuel per year so I only bought $800 worth of gift cards.

By my calculation, that's enough fuel for approx. 40,000km! That's a lot in a year! Even if split between two cars!

Close ;) But I get about 8 litres per 100kms in the Diesel!

I do about 35,000 km a year easily myself, plus BP have the swap n go gas cylinder exchange program, $34 for a 8.5kg swap and I go through about a cylinder a month so that's another $500 per year  Better than doing it at Bunnings!

So this will easily cover me for a year plus a little extra for family members :)

Given you pay $19 for a 9kg bottle at many places, at $34 the points are hurting a little bit.

I'd love to know where you can get it for $19 - I've only seen mid-high $20's?

Agree. You pay a HUGE premium for FleeceNGo

To save paying through the nose you need an outlet that fills the cylinders the old fashioned way.
Rays Camping Stores are another good source.

I drop the bottle in on the way to work and then pick up later to save waiting. Or sometimes I will do at lunch while I browse through the store.

Only time I use FleeceNGo is when the cylinder is getting near it's use by date, and FleeceNGo then supplies me with an "in-date" cylinder!!!

Tried BP Eltham. Wouldn't do gift cards on credit!
Looks like BP have lost my fuel purchases next year as they wouldn't let me buy the gift vouchers!

They definitely do, I have purchased several through there, but some staff have no idea how to do it!

BP Greensborough - Is a waste of time, they don't have any
BP Diamond Creek/St Helena - They have no $200 cards left
BP Bundoora (Plenty Road) Opposite the mini golf place - Heaps of $200 cards left and the operator who always seems to be working there is very fast with them

Hope that helps!
