Doesn't look like it :-(

You will not earn Rewards Points on interest
charges, premiums paid for ANZ Credit Card
Insurance (ANZ Credit Card Insurance not available
for new customers from March 17th, 2018),
government charges, bank fees, payments made to
the Australian Taxation Office or other taxation
payments or duties, card account adjustments
resulting from disputed transactions or otherwise,
balance transfers or cash advances (as defined in
the ANZ Credit Cards Conditions of Use) or
transactions which are identified to ANZ by the
relevant merchant or any intermediary financial
institution as falling into one of these categories.

I have had this card for 2 years.
It earns points on payment of things like Council Rates.

The 80k points just hit my account! Received code via email 1st October and an email on 5th October saying they would be credited within 2 months, so I'm pretty impressed I've received them already.

Good news that they do it quickly, do you know what day you went over the spend?

See/Apply: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures Velocity Offer | ANZ

80,000 BONUS
VELOCITY FREQUENT FLYER POINTS1

With a new ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures credit card
when you spend $1,500 on eligible purchases in the first 3 months of approval.

$225 annual fee, but you get a free domestic flight.

Thank you for the post. Mrs RB has progressed through the process & now has received advice the 80,000 points are on their way. Has turned into a great pickup!:)

Reading the Ts&Cs - I have held an ANZ Rewards Black in the last 12 months but not the travel adventures variant (never had one of these).
So according to what I've read I would be eligible for bonus points. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Yep. You're fine.

Believe the offer was never on main anz site. Special offer as usual check link in this thread or point hacks ??

Ok thanks, the link in the first post shows the points available but just to be sure I'll contact ANZ to double check. Hate to get 3 months down the track and no 80,000 points!.

I signed up via this link:

ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures Velocity Offer | ANZ

This bonus point offer does not appear on ANZ's website.

Easy to apply, approved within days, card arrived a few days later, I did the required spend - then a week later received the email requesting my Velocity ff number so that they could award me the bonus points.

Great offer!

Thanks to the OP for the link. Once I got the card I registered on the Rewards site and a couple of days later I got the email with the link to register for the points. Just need to make the spend now, which will be a doddle!

made spend threshold and got email ... so far, so good!

Just thought I'd post my experience in regard to the bonus points for this card.

I signed up last month for the card and have only just ticked over the $1500 spend to receive the 80,000 bonus points. I have seen that some people reported receiving an email with a "unique code" after creating an ANZ Rewards account, but I never received this code.

So I rang ANZ today to check on the bonus points situation and got bounced around to a few departments. I finally landed at "card solutions" and told them I'd never been asked to supply my Velocity number to get credited the points on this signup offer. The lady on the phone said that once you clear the 3 month period from card approval date then the points will be credited sometime in the 3 months following this - so it could be up to 6 months from card approval date to actually receive the points according to her.

She also said it would have been easier for me if I'd just entered my Velocity number in the form on signup. I told her I'd never been prompted to do this at any stage during the application process. Anyway in the end she took my Velocity number.

Has anyone else who has signed up for this card actually received the bonus yet?

yes i got mine a year or so ago, was like pulling hens teeth. I beleive i posted the story in this thread, and many others shared their experiences, similar to yours.

I received my ANZ Travel Adventures card today. There is no mention of bonus points in the offer docs, so I called ANZ. Eventually got onto someone who knew about the card and he confirmed yes I am registered to receive the 80K bonus if I spend $1,500 in three months. He took down my Velocity number. Amazingly, he also told me that he can see an old ANZ credit card cancelled in 2016 that still has $40 credit on it ! I would have had no idea had I not taken out this card (or another account I suppose) with ANZ.

80k bonus points posted today! was expecting a world of pain ... but all good. Will be able to transfer to SQ before reduction in transfer rate too.

Hey @lang_13, did you receive a unique code which you submitted via the ANZ website along with your Velocity number or did you not receive any code and just rang ANZ directly to supply only your Velocity member number?

How long are submitting your Velocity number has it been to actually receiving the points?

Will be able to transfer to SQ

Yep, I'll be sweating on that as well. That 80K adding into the transfer pool is going to mean the difference between 2 x J class to anywhere in Europe ...or 2 x only as far as Istanbul.
