Am I reading this right, that for this offer you just need to apply by 31/10/2018, not necessarily be approved by that date?

Offer available to new and approved applicants who apply for an ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures account through the ANZ offer promotional website (ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures Velocity Offer | ANZ) by 31/10/2018 and who make $1500 of net eligible purchases within the first three months of approval.

Yeah, thanks! That's exactly what I read as well… I guess what I was really asking was: do ANZ actually follow by their T&Cs as written, or do they misinterpret them, and I'll have to argue the case later? ;)

Anyway, I applied — 80,000 is good enough incentive to try, and I'll ask them to verify it went through the promo!

I am hoping like heck this offer extends by another month or so. I called ANZ and confirmed I killed my Travel Adventures Card on the November 30 2017. I am assuming they are very strict on the one year rule so I am not going to burn a credit application with a risk of 0 points.

FYI I applied for this card accidentally a few days ahead of the 1-year period. Called ANZ and got told I was not going to get the bonus points. As I have dealt with this card last time (it was terrible, every different staffs on ANZ end had different opinions), I called again and got promised by one staff that he will chase the point with the card manager... 24h later received a call saying everything is fine so I just gave him the Velocity number. Spent the required amount and points in my account in about 2 weeks.

It is a great offer, the service is also much better this time. Keep up the good work ANZ.

If anybody is in the same boat wanting to have a clear-cut approval by 31 Oct, I called 1800 076 113 today and they approved it while I was on the phone — I'd suggest you give that a go too.

Also supplied my Velocity number and confirmed that the 80,000 Velocity points offer was on the account. So far, so easy!

I did the same!

though I got told that "I cant apply your velocity number just yet because the card isnt showing in the system... but ive notified the team to add it on when it comes through"

Perhaps I chase tomorrow and ask explicitly if Im linked with 80k points?

Has anyone received the points yet? If so, how long did it take after hitting the $1500 spend?

I'd like to try convert my points to Krisflyer prior to the Jan 1st devaluation

Mine arrived in my Velocity account about two weeks after completing the required spend amount

I'm assuming after you paid the bill rather then prior?

I hit my spend pretty fast, well before the first statement. Might just pay it in full now and hope that speeds up the process

Also, would the 80,000 bonus points from ANZ be applied Velocity's 15% bonus for this month? I can't see why it shouldn't be....

So the 80k points deal is no longer available, but the 40k deal from the Point Hacks website still is, with no time frame - just "may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice. "

Not 80k...but better than the 0 points on offer from the normal ANZ website. I will be applying the day after my 12 months exclusion period is up.

My points arrived about two weeks after hitting the spend. An email was issued by ANZ about 4 days after hitting that requirement. No 15% bonus though, but the 80K is hugely welcome.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I also only received the activation code after I hit minimum spend, which was about 6 weeks after card activation.
I have just submitted the details, so am expecting to receive the 80000 points in the next few days. Happy days!!

I got the email saying I've hit the spend and will receive my 80,000 points - that was 5 days ago.

The email does say (within the next 2 months!!!) really hope its pre December 31st as they are going straight to Krisflyer

I am a bit cross with ANZ, applied for card 20 October, approved within a few days. Met $1500 spend as of yesterday, called to advise Velocity Membership No, was advised NOT eligible for bonus 80,000 points.!
Applied thru link as per on Page 1, on this forum....

What is going on? Any advice?

They gave me a contact no for ANZ complaints

Well all sorted now. Phew, I was getting a bit cross with the guy on the general number.

But Complaints sorted it all out immediately and advised I was eligible and points will be processed.
So will now wait and see if points arrive.

Did it require one phone call to complaints, or more?
