When I got to work this morning, my boss stormed up to me and challenged, "You missed work yesterday, didn't you?"

Apparently "No, not really" was not the correct answer.
 
I went goes to see my supervisor at work yesterday. "Boss," I said, "we're doing some heavy housecleaning at home tomorrow, and my wife needs me to help with the attic, the garage and the shed, moving and lifting all the heavy stuff."

"Sorry, but we're shorthanded here," my boss replied. "I can't give you the day off."

"Thanks, boss. I knew I could count on you!"
