I lived in the Daintree rainforest for a month as a young teenager. Over ½ a century later, I still can't put on boots without 1st shaking them out.
Me too. Something I was taught young. I wouldn't dream of putting on my boots or shoes without a good bang & upside down shake. Not the ones in my cupboard, obviously, but we are a no-shoe home so they are mostly left outside the back door.
