A Complete, Updated List of Fifth-Freedom Routes

CI adding MEL-AKL from December 3rd.
5x weekly T,W,T,F,Su
CI57 MEL-AKL 1340-1905
CI58 AKL-MEL 2105-2255

Awesome way to cross the ditch in a very comfortable aircraft.

I wonder if there'll be any Classic rewards (not Plus) seats using QFF points and how much it would be - would be good if it is available with CR.

Just searched a random date in April 2025, nothing available as of yet.

It's technically possible and I have seen some seats in the past, but there isn't much availability on BNE-AKL. I expect MEL-AKL will be similar.

CI used to have CI57-CI58 as MEL-CHC/CHC-MEL for a few summers. Last 2017-18
The CI flight had a QF codeshare, but trans Tasman was not bookable. Tried by phone and on line.

I could never find any when MEL<-->CHC operated.

Would love to catch that!

QF redemptions on SB are limited to the codeshare flights between Australia and New Caledonia.
Do you have a reference for that?
Something odd is that rewards on SB actually book onto the QF flight number.
Yes, handy for lounge access in Oz if in whY or F Lounge for WPs.
