It's technically possible and I have seen some seats in the past, but there isn't much availability on BNE-AKL. I expect MEL-AKL will be similar.

CI used to have CI57-CI58 as MEL-CHC/CHC-MEL for a few summers. Last 2017-18
The CI flight had a QF codeshare, but trans Tasman was not bookable. Tried by phone and on line.

I wonder if there'll be any Classic rewards (not Plus) seats using QFF points and how much it would be - would be good if it is available with CR.

I could never find any when MEL<-->CHC operated.

QF redemptions on SB are limited to the codeshare flights between Australia and New Caledonia. Something odd is that rewards on SB actually book onto the QF flight number.
