Patong beach is not as bad as expected. Crazy busy but nicer than Bali beaches.

Did I mention yesterday that one young (adult) guy thought it not only reasonable to use the adults swimming pool in his alpha brand jocks then blithely walk back through the dinner buffet area in nothing more than them? At 8.30pm.
And I thought Princess was a classy line

There are always people with lots of $, no class and plans similar to your own. Just avoid at all cost. Hope that's not hard given the size of the ship Pushka

Kmart brand?

Totally OT but when I was in charge of IT at a Catholic school we had a problem when a Home Science teacher told the class to Google 'Cream' to look for recipes. Some unfortunate sites turned up and we had a lot of shaken Yr7 students

Maybe I could book Queen's Grill on Cunard????
We were upgraded to the Princess Grill in February last year on the Queen Elizabeth and it was breathtakingly good. If you are serious you could save a little by going Princess not Queen's grill. On a cruise a few years ago, friends of ours booked the lowest category Princess Grill and were upgraded to the highest level Queen's Grill.
What a difficult decision for you!

Wow that's a great upgrade. Have a sheltered balcony in April which is an upgrade from obstructed but last time I had an upgrade to sheltered balcony from the cheapest inside which was very pleasing. Will stump up for the Grills one day....

Oh I do like a good gossip in the swimming pool with other passengers. The ruskies seem to have offended pretty much everyone.

As we prepare to leave, idiots on jet skis are bearing straight for the ship and veering off at the last second. There is a dinghy trying to fend them off.

This one was a woman and her young son - so far from shore on a crazy busy stretch of water.

And one is now trying to swamp the dinghy. :o

Just tell the captain to blow the horn and run them over...small-minded idiots, sure come out for a look but keep a respectful distance....

Early morning in Langkawi. MrP up early for a canoe trek on Kilim River.

And I am off shopping. Langkawi is duty free Mecca. I did not realise until this week that you cannot take any alcohol into Singapore from Malaysia and not pay the local tax. There is no duty free allowance on cigarettes from anywhere in the world into Singapore. You must declare just 1 cigarette and pay duty. And people rant about Dubai?

Two credit cards in hand. Just in case. Debit card. Cash. Sorted. But what to buy?

Actually. The first stop was the best. Can I say **** excursion? The one redeeming feature was that MrP was not with me.
I think they have landed 6 bus loads of tourists onto a group of streets where 50% of shops are shut. The rest are selling suitcases and alcohol and chocolate. Except they won't sell anyone alcohol because the ship has our passports.
