Oh dear. Mutiny on the bus. Buses. 8 bus loads of people have been dumped here. Shops shut. For 2 hours we are here.

Scores of people asking WT?

End up spending an hour in a bar with a lovely Scottish couple over a beer. Its hot outside. And despite saying the bus would be opened and cool for those feeling the heat - it's locked. Another bus let's the heat exhausted people inside for an hour.

Multiple complaints. This was touted as a duty free shop for 2 hours. Never said the shops would be shut. One restaurant only. And about 100 people looking to eat.

On the way back to port we pass by an area of excellent street shops and multiple ethnic and interesting shops. Oh, that's where the ship shuttle bus drops you off. We all groan in frustration.
We've all agreed to go to the shore excursion desk when it opens at 3pm. The tour was very deceptively described. Could have saved ourselves around $40 and had an enjoyable time as well.

The eagle statue was huge.

I must get used to drop toilets though. But being so 'wet' means the smells don't dissipate and gagging not a great thing I've found. Leg muscles are stronger now than last experience. :o

Oh well KL it is Dame. Will see if MrP lets me alone tomorrow to check out the shopping centre where Petronas Towers are

It sounds like Princess has organised shore ex very poorly. I would be very annoyed to be dropped off with few shops open and nothing to do for 2 hours. Hope you make your displeasure felt on board. If no suitable response perhaps a well worded post on the Princess FB page will stir them up a bit :(

If you've never been, it's certainly worth a visit. But the very nearby Pavilion and others like the Starhill Gallery (which is across the road from Pavilion and attached to the JW Marriott hotel) in the general area is the shopping place where many Malaysians go. It's quite walkable from KLCC. The basement dining area under the Starhill is well worth a look too!

I joined the throng at the shorex. Of course they say 'not responsible for our vendors yada yada' but that wont fly.

Might try that Facebook page Dame.

But on a good note MrP enjoyed his kayak. I didn't go as they said they were single kayaks and knew I couldn't handle that for 2 hours on my own. Guess what. Only double kayaks on offer. But MrP being a solo to get one on his own. He kayaks a lot on the River Murray.

I'm finding it rather funny actually. Poor shorex. A Victorian lady was just going bunta. Can't wait until our American couple shows up. We were sitting behind her and she didn't let up the whole trip back. (I attached myself to a BNE lady who'd left her hubby on the ship. We were pleased they hadn't joined us. She spent the 2 hours having a nap on the other bus that was cool).

Had a quick look at 2 Princess FB pages (one general and one named Complaints). Unlike Celebrity, they don't seem to monitor very regularly and people were also complaining about not having any response from them.
When Solstice came to Au for the first time, I did a quick one-nighter but it was a bit of a debacle with things like the wrong person's name and a letter for them on my door, not receiving quite a few of the Aqua perks etc. I put a short post about how I hoped they would be able to get their act together as we had a longer booking coming up. Lo and behold the next day a response from them asking for my contact details and a half refund of the cruise.

Cruise Critic will work too. I think they monitor it more but whether you hear anything is another story.

The beaches look wonderful as we sail out. Not crowded like yesterday and lovely white sand.

Glad MrP had a good day at least :)

Just posted on Facebook. I don't expect a response. Why do they not understand that our contract is with Princess and they should not lay the blame with the vendor and say there is nothing they can do?

It was so bad it was laughable but think some may have been impacted by heat and no escape from it.

Still in KL and half an hour before bus to do the 60 minute drive back to port. Shopping here is rather good - haven't budged from Petronas Towers as the 12 noon ticket for the tower cut into the middle. Could have made it to Chinatown which would have been interesting.

Collected some antibiotics as I've picked up the Princess cough and earache for a week now. Not too many coughs going around on the ship although one woman sounds like she's coughing up a lung

Petronas Towers good but lifts up are hot and packed to the hilt with 3 changes on the way. Too much time at top - 15 mins and everyone is done after 5 but you have to wait for your colour group.

Dame, up to you but if we do Burj Khalifa (later) then this a little tame.
Bus arrived at 9.30am but little traffic so 5 hours in all.

Bata shop has some excellent comfy stylish shoes at a great price. They said they've been swamped today. Also a Uniqlo (?) shop.
