I have been eyeing off one of those Bellroy travel wallets. Its listed as $119 Australian dollars including delivery. Like a lot of products, is the price much better if bought elsewhere?

I think it's actually an Australian product, so probably no. But the quality and functionality is excellent IMHO.

for when travelling - when I usually have a bag it can go in. Although it fits in rear pocket for short trips, e.g. check in to lounge.

I hate big wallets and try to carry the absolute minimum cards. Looking at yours you might have trouble deciding what to get rid of ;)
The only issue with the slim sleeve wallet is some countries have stupid big notes. Though I mostly make them fit.
I have the Bellroy travel wallet and just love it.

I just bought from the Bellroy website, didn't look elsewhere so can't help with that.
But I agree wholeheartedly with JohnM regarding the quality and functionality. The pen is a particularly nice feature, just don't drop it under the seat, it can be a bugger to find!

I bought mine from a retailer in PER that I located from the Bellroy website.

I got mine from "The Iconic" with a 20% off coupon bringing it down to just under $88.00.

Great thread. My wallet is falling apart.

SWMBO uses a business card holder for excess cards. But then she has a handbag. Whereas men would have a European hold all.

For those wanting to keep the passport in the pocket or security. My passport sets off the walk through metal detector.

I have a Bellroy Hide and Seek wallet. Currently holds 19 cards. Have other less frequently used cards in another wallet at home that I obviously don;t need as they have been sitting in the drawer for over 6 months.

I have a separate travel wallet for OS travel with passport, other currency, etc.

I'm going to one of the retailers here in ADL to check out the Bellroy range.
Unfortunately I purchased a new wallet last week whilst on holiday in OOL, a Jeff Banks STVDIO. Very nice feel to it, holds lots of cards but just too fat at about 25 - 30mm. Overall not bad for $99.

I must look into that Key Ring app, it sounds great.

+1. Mined so old the brand name has rubbed off.

I have 14 cards in my wallet at present (4 CC, 1 EFTPOS, 2 FF, 2 Hotel, EDR, Translink, Medicare, BUPA and RACQ; plus DL) and change the cards as needs dictate (change Hotel and add hire car if needed); so 15 in total usually. If going overseas, then a couple go - EDR, Translink. I have a second wallet that holds all my not-so-regularly-used cards. Passport carried in separate man bag with other travel items.

Same, apart from BNE - my birthday soon.

+1. Intrigued to see what use it can be

I currently have 11 cards plus my passport and a few cash notes/receipts in my Bellroy travel wallet and it's only 20mm thick at the maximum point.

There is something about the thin, but tough leather that seems to set the Bellroy apart.

Ok thats it, this thread has convinced me to get one. Was eyeing it off recently, and going to wait for my next o/s trip. But considering I don't know when that will be, I'll bite the bullet.

Out of interest, do you ever use it to actually put boarding passes into it? They claim it's crease free, but I suspect what they mean is, you don't have to fold it. I don't see how it coul dbe crease free when its bent in a wallet.

They are not fibbing. When you put a BP in it, the bend is so rounded that it doesn't crease. It obviously doesn't come out totally flat, but it's nothing like as though it's been folded on itself.

Well done! current Iconic discount is only 15% and doesn't apply to items shipped by partners, which Bellroy is one of. I'm having similar problem with another vendor who stocks it too, offering a 20% discount, but when you add shipping it works out about the same...

Henry Bucks (of which there is one at MEL) is supposedly a stockist. Unlikely to get a discount though....

Yes. They end up with a fixable bend, but no crease.
My inbound express card that I've been carrying for a while has creased but it took a while.

That bellroy travel version really looks the business. Would pen refills be easy enough to get?

I don't know, but they do provide an additional refill. The pen is a very skinny little thing that I regard as more for 'emergency' use if a normal pen runs out, is lost or you forget to put it in your pocket and don't want to get out of your seat to go rummaging in your bag.

So for all occasions then? ;)
