Does your P1 status show up on EK Boarding pass?

It has been really interesting reading this thread and it looks like you had a fabulous time and was worth postponing some Easter holiday plans. Thanks for the constant updates.

I've really enjoyed tagging along on your trip. Looks like it was a lot of fun.

There are Marmite soldiers on that menu. Marmite? The world really has gone to rack and ruin. :D

Thanks markis10, Lindsay, and bossreggie!

Big effort on the postings and it has been great to follow along. I suspect there could be 40 winks on the way home ..........

cheers,

LOL what have you done to her ?

LOL what have you done to her ?

I suspect a hydraulic system failure, we dropped gear real early and went at max speed to land 5 minutes early but long and needed a tow back to the terminal, Murphy's law given the amount of press on board! Well handled by crew, been waiting awhile for bags as they have issues with doors.

Perhaps QF can read our minds and wanted to extend the trip, as we are sad to see it come to a close, it truly has been a first class effort. Pity I did not have the camera handy when someone found out what aircraft they were on, it was a priceless look!

Well...... The first thing Markis10 and Lindsay Wilson did was trick me into flying on her in the first place!!

Apparently the look of shock on my face when they told me was priceless.

I told you she is a lemon. :(

I've been in the F Lounge for ages!! The joys of international transit when you are first in line.

When I ordered a coffee......... I thought the waiter was going to faint.

I'm just glad she didn't blow her engine the week before she did - we were on her on a trip to LA the week before!

S short but sweet trip no doubt - so full on experiences which made it seem much shorter.

For those wondering given earlier reports that you don't board the aircraft from the lounge in DXB, this is incorrect, it's a very straightforward process from the lounge, lift down then out door onto aerobridge.

From what I hear she is the best bird in the fleet now, things happen! I was pleased to have the pleasure to fly on her.

Well..... If the elevator works. ;)

For anyone actually staying in DXB and then heading back out to the airport. A small tip. If you are eligible for J or F Check in. Please ensure your driver knows that prior to dropping you off.

There is a completely separate area for this, which is probably 1KM away from Y check in. There is a train which will take you, which runs every 2 minutes, however to access it you need your boarding pass and luggage already checked in.

I hope that makes sense, and can save you some time.
