A little bit of moderation in Dubai.

Well done to all , it has been great follow the escapades to & around Dubai . A well deserved reward for markis10 & LW who put countless hours into AFF.

I haven't seen a caption competition on AFF... but interested in knowing what Lindsay Wilson was showing Alan on his phone... perhaps this thread?

That is an excellent idea.

Here's my entry:

"You see, Alan. This is how AA does priority boarding. It's really very easy."

How about "Alan, this is what a party pie should look like!"

Gold Gold and more gold!

But how much does it cost?

Man on the phone to his wife : "Lets vacation in Australia this year, I need a break from the fish, this Qantas airline looks great so we fly with them"!

Just as in India, which has gold displays like that, the gold is very yellow and the designs very intricate. I'd be tempted to buy gold in India (and Dubai, one day!) as a jewellery piece (not necessarily for the investment value) but the intricacy puts me off. I guess I am a gold bar kind of gal! :)

Hi Markis and LW

whilst you are in such good company can you question about ASA and suggested changes as of 10 April and either confirm changes are happening or kill off the rumor good and proper?

We can. Bossreggie asked the question about ASA's in the 4WD between drinks and dinner. As I was sitting next to AJ in the 4WD, I can unequivocally confirm that he said NO! Consider it squashed - he said that a number of interesting rumours came out of CSA briefings that he does

It is a long way home now though. I'm thinking there are a lot of people are hoping the plane doesn't run out of alcohol.

We're now on the bus from the hotel to the airport - bleary eyed and smoky hair that no amount of shampooing can assuage. Will have a more comprehensive report after our return but we may be able to do some photos from the airport

Please do! I am really interested in how the lounge to gate arrangements work in the F lounge. Will Bossreggie be going to the I/O lounge ;)?

It would be great to get your impression of the F lounge. The pictures I have seen look great - but it looks like it will just feel like an airport with fewer people than a special F lounge...

Getting quite excited about my trip via DXB in June and the holiday there in September!

LW and Markis Hope you all had a a great time in Dubai.

Thank you to you and Bossreggie for clarifying this rumor and hopefully squashing it. Cant see anything changing now unless AJ doesnt know :D

Have a safe and enjoyable flight home.

better tell the Flight Attendants to call by the duty-free shop before they board ... just to be sure, to be sure, to be sure. And be sure to tell them to pick up some Lagavulin instead of The Glenlivet to be served in the J lounge ;)

I'm in the "Fine Dining" area of the F Lounge. It's closer to A10 and I have room for a couple of Mods.

Head right after you enter the lounge. Also right after you go into the Fine Dining area.

I'm next to Neil Perry.
