A little bit of moderation in Dubai.

Alright, finally off to bed - everything has run to plan apart from the fact that I wanted a couple more hours sleep.

Packed tonight when I got home from dinner with friends. That took 45 mins as I started to doubt my choices of clothes - most of our functions are business attire, so it was like packing for a normal trip away (just a couple of days longer).

Trust you enjoyed Euro bossreggie and see you tomorrow in the F Lounge - should get there about 1.30pm IIRC.

You can sleep on the plane ;). there's still moderation to be done.....

Am sure you will both scrub up okay.

Oooh! So jealous, and looking forward to hearing ALL !

Mods i really hope you have a great time. Sounds like an amazing trip. Sooo jealous right now! Cant wait to read all about it.

Well there's nothing quite like a body clock that wakes you before an alarm - or the tosser walking his dog off leash at 4.45am past your house whilst talking on his mobile - yes, he really needs to understand just how noise travels early in the morning. I'd have hissed "shut the hell up", but getting up 15 mins before my alarm probably wasn't too bad an idea this morning.

So I'm up and raring to go - shower, get dressed and await my taxi booked for 5.30am. Kiss the sleeping forms of my wife, son and daughter just before I walk out the door and cuddle my dogs (who think it's early for me to get them up for a walk - then skulk back to their beds when the realise that I'm not dressed for a walk).

Off to the airport to meet markis10. The adventure begins...

Meantime I am at Fortitude Valley station about to board a train and keeping interesting company, I wonder how they will be feeling in 26 hours time, more importantly will I be feeling like they do now in 26 hours time :shock:.

It felt a bit odd being dressed in Business attire I must admit, now on a train full of backpackers wearing thongs, at least they are quiet by comparison to the drunks.

Did I mention we will be travelling with some notable people:

Qantas CEO Alan Joyce, Transport Minister Anthony Albanese and celebrities Jessica Mauboy, Dr Chris Brown, Hugh Sheridan and Tara Moss will be on board the flight from Sydney, which departs at 5pm.

Formalities done (nice and quick thanks to pre provisioning of APIS details into the booking) and relaxing in the lounge looking at what is an odd view, an apron full of aircraft and not one nav light to be seen!

Boarding passes in hand, highest sequence number I have had in a long time!

As will Bossreggie.

I have heard of Tara Moss.

ISTR she gathers no stones. ; ) I may be confused. ;)

I have no clue about the other "celebrities".

I MAY allow some of them to have their photo taken with me. They will have to do the whole "peace" symbol with their fingers though.

Hey......... If I can get Oprah Winfrey and David Cameron to do it. Everyone else has to as well!! #js

The biggest celebrity on the plane to me, will be Markis10. Never met him. But he's a legend!! I'm also pretty confident we have some stuff in common. :)

He may need to sign my autograph book!!

Have a great trip! Very jealous. Would prefer to be in Dubai weather rather than London weather.. and the activities look great.

Okay, here we are waiting for our boarding call. Decided not to eat in the Jlounge as we'll get fed on QF509

I'm in the AKL J Lounge.

We are about to board. I'm in 3A to Dubai but I have asked once again to be seated with LW and Markis10.

I hope they will sort it for me. They are trying to re-arrange seating as I NEVER have anyone seated next to me.

I'll show LW and Markis10 my email from Qantas. It's actually very funny because I'm pretty much requesting a downgrade.

Enjoy lads, looks like I'll just have my shadow along with Penegal across the way to accompany me back from Japan tonight.

I can just imagine the total spin you sent them in! Love your work!
