No Marg in the Sydney J lounge …What?
You... You... You don't think Qantas might actually be trying to undo an Enhancement, do you?!MrsDaver6 is in the SYD domestic J lounge and can confirm that there is both butter and margarine.
SYD Virgin lounge recently. Young boy (12-14 years old?) came over to the buffet 9 times in the time that we were there. He would take 3 plates off the top then grab the 4th plate to use then put the others back. He did the same to the bowls as well. What gremlins exactly are you worried about though? You take a clean knife, stick it in the margarine put some on your bread on move on. I'm just hoping someone isn't first sticking the knife in their mouth lol. I'd also suggest bacteria is more likely to multiply in a high sugar environment.
Not sure if it was jam or some other spread, but there were jars with spreads.
My sister confirms available this afternoon in SYD pubMrsDaver6 is in the SYD domestic J lounge and can confirm that there is both butter and margarine.
Huh. First thought that crossed my mind until you mentioned the relatives was: "spectrum?"SYD Virgin lounge recently. I think thats disgusting and extremely poor manners. I told the staff who just looked at me but then kept an eye on the boy.
I later saw the boy, older sister and mum walk out the lounge and I immediately understood why the boy behaves that way.
What the hell is United doing with a lounge at LHR? This story is self explanatory as soon as the airline was mentioned.I'm just going to leave this here...

A reader sent me a report of a fellow traveler loading her ziploc bags with food she pilfered from a United Airlines club lounge.liveandletsfly.com

UA Polaris Lounges (no, LHR does not have one oddly) are a very decent step between a J and F lounge tbh. As good as QF Flounge? No.. but far superior to the J lounges imo.We might have Stockholm Syndrome with QF, but at least we have the Flounges...
Today I learn! Thanks for the insight. By my nature I just tend to avoid US Airlines (and the US). Good to know there are reasonable offerings if ever the wife manages to somehow coerce me...UA have an actually pretty decent lounge at LHR T2. They have over 20 daily widebody departures from LHR - it is a significant station for them.
AA also have a (bad) lounge too.
And QF have... two departures.. and a lounge lol

Yep, was available in both Sydney J and Qantas Pob in Adelaide yesterday. My sister confirms available this afternoon in SYD pub

How about in response to this part? I thought my reply was relevant but should have chopped the rest off.You quoted my post but posted something completely random as a response. I'm confused what this has to do with the lack of margarine I encountered in the lounge or how a big tub of margarine is any worse than the other jars of condiments (or for that matter anything else that is buffet style which 99% of lounges are)
People go to toilets, don't wash their hands when they're finished, go and touch utensils until they find the right one (they're all the same), touch food and then you try and work out how you ended up in hospital with some bacteria/virus.What gremlins exactly are you worried about though?
