is it only the flights to DXB/LHR that are now all 'Halal' or is it all QF international flights?

Dates should be accompanied by milk :p

During Ramadan the fast is broken with dates.

I'm looking forward to the Tasting Menu on QF9 in a fortnight. I haven't had it on QF yet.

Guys does QF1 ex-SYD in F offer the Tasting Menu now that its been moved to a 4:50pm departure ?

Sorry to dig this thread up again, I couldn't find a more recent one!

Anyone have a recent QF2 DXB-SYD tasting menu and wine list they can upload? Doing my 'research' prior to my first First! :P

Not quite DXB to SYD, but this was the F menu on the DXB to MEL leg late October. Outstanding flight and great mealdinner.jpgsupper.jpgwine list.jpg

I had a long chat re the Champagne. On the last couple of trips I'v enjoyed the Comtes 2000, which is in my view a world class champagne - up there with the very finest, The Grande Damme 2004, which is is close to the top tier depending on vintage and on this trip the Winston Churchill. This is in now way inferior and is an elegant and refined champagne of the first order. I would say, however, that it doesn't stand up to altitude as well as the others. This didn't stop me enjoying several glasses and taking the opportunity to taste one of the less widely available grand cru's.

As a complete aside, the crackers that go with the cheese dish are from a little bakery in Edinburgh, Peter's Yard and are about the best cracker I've ever tried. So much so that I asked about them and was given a pack to take home with me!!

That's interesting to hear, Canny man.

Did they still provide the usual champagne list with the 2004 VC GD, 2000 Comtes and the 2000 Winston Churchill, or the only mention was the 2004 Winston Churchill now on the regular wine list?

It will be interesting to see if they still rotate a few different champagnes and detail the one they are providing on each specific flight instead of just saying it will be one of the three.

I'll be sure to let you know what happens on my flight in early Jan!

When? We are in F Dubai-Sydney early January too. Departure at 9.35 am so many hours to enjoy the service. I presume they turn it into a night flight given early am arrival 13 hours later.

Jan 7 from DXB. I'm actually coming from LHR on BA, sadly no award availability between LHR-DXB on QF 2.

Definitely looking more forward to my QF leg than my BA one!

Ah. We are Jan 6! Could have been an AFF meet in the A380 F area.

Like ships in the night. You'll have to give me a quick run down of what you liked and what you didn't from the menu!
