A little OT, the bonus miles from the last Promo still haven't been credited to any of our accounts, purchased on 27th Feb :(
Does anyone know how long it takes usually ?

Mine haven't either, but usually 6-8 weeks after promo ends. tried to log in 'this feature is currently unavailable'

That promo ended on 29/2/12. My points from the promo last year took exactly 8 weeks to post. You could expect to see your points at the end of April.

52,000 Miles for 1035 USD isn't bad.

Even better when it is only $US935 until April 5

Makes a one-way J to Europe, 60,000 miles, cost about $US1050+ fuel fines, subject to availability :mrgreen:

And people wonder why there's so much interest in AA on AFF :mrgreen::mrgreen:

Got a pleasant surprise when I checked my AA account this morning. The bonus 15,000 miles from the promo ending on 29/2/12 has now been credited. I wasn't expecting that until the end of the month. :D

May have even convinced my parents to load up their accounts so they can use some (or all) for their travels - and gift the rest to me :D

Just bought my miles but it brought an immediate response from Amex re a suspicious charge to points.com.

Only happened to me once (the first time) and OK after that.

I bought AA miles on 9 Feb and my bonus points were posted day.

On the downside, my current balance is 55K (from this promotion only) and all the available awards I saw when I first bought the points are no longer available. I need to learn patience...

Was this an email drron? Haven't received anything.

Anyway I have still not used the miles I purchased on 31 December but I think I will buy 40,000 miles with this promotion as it looks like a good deal.

Yes an email but it is open to anyone-mrsdrron hasn't got the email but I was able to buy points for her.

Can someone please confirm that promotion is still current right now and 40,000 miles are worth ~USD1035!

I have purchased already but thought the final amount should have been less.

Either way I am happy with USD1,035 for 52,000 AA miles....

I believe the 'normal price' is $1100 + tax + processing fee so $1035 is a pretty good deal.

I've boosted both our accounts so will look forward to more J travel :D

JohnK, that sounds right. I loaded up both kids, both my parents and our chief bridesmaid in the UK (so she can fly out to Australia to see us). That's her birthday and Xmas presents for the next 5 years.

agree with markis10 as there are many ways to gain AA points with some lateral thinking. Our office recently bought $900 worth of printing cartridges, about one years supply (for less than we could buy them locally) from the AA shopping mall, and received over 14,000 AA miles, to me these are free miles as we needed the supplies anyway, and were no worse off financially by sourcing them through the AA shopping mall.

PS you will need a local US address (or friend) who can then post them to you in AUS
