Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

Your memory has totally failed because it hasn't served you correct (sic).

Every Senate and House vote required extensive consultation and negotiation, and received total denigration from an opposition who never recognised them as the legitimate government.

Even some Liberals were glad to see the back of WorkChoices because they knew just how much it hurt their government.

If I recall correctly the current Prime Minister has gone on record more than once saying that he argued against Work Choices during the Howard regime and was glad to see it go. Nobody mourns its "destruction".

Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

While I'm not game to join the debate, I couldn't help noticing that Christopher Pyne is an anagram of hyper-posh cretin.

Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

School reunions will be fun for you kpc where you can rub shoulders with Christopher Pyne.
No one from my school classes went into politics.

Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

Wonder if Mr Pyne got upset by the ACT Minister Joy Burch retweeting a tweet that described him as a word that rhymes with punt? Imagine the uproar if the WA Education Minister had done that to the Federal Counterpart prior to the last election.

I'm quite sure that Pynocchio has been called that and much worse before. He clearly takes delight in any attention that he gets, good or bad; the only thing that would upset him would be to completely disregard him.

So that makes the behaviour ok? She should be out on "the backside of her punt" quicker than you can say the words "Double standard lefties."

Suitably comical overreaction from the opposition:

"It’s unacceptable for Joy Burch to be in charge of schools and the education of children in the ACT. She's no longer fit to serve,"

The politics of confected outrage roll on...

Yeah, you want someone who sees fit to use the C word in charge of education.

Still the whole incident reminds me of the old joke about Mrs Franny.

Just learning the ways of the left that is all.So the outrage from the left re TA is confected.Hmmm.

No, I don't think swearing once is a reason to throw someone out of a job.

Keep those false equivalency fallacies coming. I hate surprises.

Please show me where I said her behaviour was ok. I've reread my post and I can't see where anybody could possibly get the impression that I condoned her behaviour. She was stupid to retweet that, whether she did it on purpose or in error.

Nonetheless, if anyone thinks that Pynocchio would be offended by being called that name then they would be the very definition of confected outrage.

Double standards.Plenty of left wingers on social media wanting Tony Abbott dead.
The best you left wingers can do is blame someone for being near a banner.
double standards indeed.

Sooner or later if the justice system works, Gillard will be in prison where she belongs.

Supporting a threat to kill to kill the PM isn't worse that swearing? As I said the only double standard is yours.

Being photographed near the banner equates to implicit support? Right.

Please show me where Mr Abbott has been quoted as saying he supported the execution of Ms Gillard or Mr Rudd.
