I knew where it was, but perhaps a global sticky would be seen by more people, and additionally a link added in "Tools, Forum Actions or Quick Links".

They are directly related to travel on some airlines.

Since this thread is already stickied at the top of the forum I see no harm in posting to it (not really a bump if you're not bumping it anywhere is it?).

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for compiling this list of Abbreviations and their explanations, when I came across this site my first reaction was what do all these abbreviations mean, but you've made it a lot easier to get myself up to speed on the jargon employed by those on this board. (Though I'll probably have to keep it open in another tab for reference for some time yet)

As a relatively newbie to this site, I still struggle with abbreviations used in posts. I thought the site might have something that explains them but haven't been able to find anything.

Take WP for example. I assume it's Platinum but what does W stand for? Another one is JASA...business class something? IMO I assume is in my opinion?

I was hoping someone could summarize them for us newbies. It would be very much appreciated and encourages us to join in without without sounding silly.

For QF WP =Wxnker Platinum, SG = Scum Gold, NB = Nobody Bronze
JASA is a type of Qantas freq flyer reward flight:- J = business class :- ASA = Any seat [strike]time[/strike] award or ??

This abbreviations list is great. Having AFF, the web and travelling conversations combined is like learning a whole new language and having the translations close at hand is helpful.
