Accor - Platinum Benefits?

Novotel Twin Water Resort, booked a Lagoon View Queen room through Quickbeds and was given a Lagoon Suite, bottle of wine, chocolates nuts and welcome card.

I was attending a conference that my company was running, so TBH not entirely sure whether the upgrade was from my "VIP" status with the meeting or Accor Platinum. Accor Plat was not mentioned once on check in, but great upgrade if it came from status.

Presently staying at Pullman Brisbane and they have ticked all the boxes. Upgrade to Executive room, entry into Executive club room for drinks and canapés in the evening 5:30pm to 7:30pm and breakie in the morning, 2 x drink vouchers, one chilled bottle of wine in room and free internet. First time I haven't had to ask for my benefits they were all supplied at check in by "Kim".

I give them 10 out of 10

Off to Quay West Resort Magenta Shores with the family next week - booked a 3 bedroom villa so I guess there's nothing to upgrade to from there... has anyone been there? Any Platinum benefits granted?

I notice that when booking directly through the hotels websites there is often a rate for Accor Platinum which seems to be the same as the best unrestricted rate, but with restrictions.

Do you have to book using this rate to have a hope of getting the benefits? Or can you book through Expedia or whatever for the cheapest rate and show up at checkin with your platinum card?

According to section 7.1 of the general conditions of use you need to book via the accor website, accor reservation centre or at the hotel itself to earn points and be eligible for benefits.

Ok, thanks puppysparkes. But the second part of my question relates specifically to whether you have to book the Accor LeClub Platinum rate as well?

Haven't stayed there but have had dinner in restaurant which is good. You should get early check in late check out and a couple of free drinks. Let us all know how you go.

Anybody know if it is possible to get a room upgrade on a booking which has been made with points? We've booked 3 nights at the Pullman Cairns international this weekend using my points & was hoping to be bumped up to a nicer room. :)

I hope the upgrade request came through. I had a quick
glance the the general conditions of use and didn't find anything that covered your question. So I
guess it would be plausible based on status and operational requirements http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/leclub/pdf/terms-and-conditions.pdf

Does anyone have any experience with the Sebel Launceston? Staying there for a night mid May on a relatively cheap online sale rate.

Stayed Ibis Styles Tamworth Easter (4 nights) no Platinum benefits and more disappointing no Platinum acknowledgment throughout entire stay.

Have 3 nights at Pullman South Melbourne this weekend and hope to see some benefits.

ibis style tamworth, what were you expecting?

Clearly Accor have NIL social platform presence. Overall, underwhelming and embarrassing. Let's see how long they take to acknowledge this post.....

Maybe breakfast, room upgrade, thank you note from Management for loyalty, free drink…etc. etc…

you don't even get breakfast at the Sydney Sofitel let alone the ibis in Tamworth

Anyone here with platinum experience at Uluru Sails which is a Pullman resort? Have booked two rooms there for a stay in three weeks.

No they are only excluded from providing lounge access, all other benefits are honoured (late checkout if avail, welcome drink, upgraded room etc). My point is that even at a 5 star hotel there is no breakfast inclusion, unless you get an upgrade to an executive room if there is one available.
