Accor - Platinum Benefits?

Pullman Brisbane Executive lounge is down stairs on ground level plenty of drinks during coughtail hour and nibbles and good breakfast in the morning saves going to the buffet.

The service was so poor last time we were there that we weren't even told about the lounge...

SOFITEL FIJI!!! Just spent a week there and couldn't be more in raptures! An Accor Platinum and received all the required benefits, such as room upgrade to a FANTASTIC suite. I cannot be more enthusiastic with the professionalism, quality and downright excellence of this Sofitel on Denarau Island.... There were many quality touches to their product and delightful well thought out surprises....stay here if you get a chance! Fiji time took about 2 days to wash over us, and after that, life was perfect...(And no, I don't work for them and this isn't a paid commercial!!!)

I have read most of the posts but can someone confirm recent access to exec lounge at Pullman Melbourne Albert Park; booking a normal room but with platinum status
Thanks in advance

D

Yes. You will. However... there is a big but... I have stayed there four times in the past two months and all weekends the lounge was closed. You do get offered the breakfast in the restaurant and you will get drink vouchers for the bar in the lobby. Which is okay, but it is a bit disappointing that the lounge was closed ("too quiet"). When I stayed during the week, the lounge was open and I enjoyed the breakfast in there as well as the drinks.
At this stage I don't count on having lounge access in the weekends anymore, since I have had such a bad run with them.
Having said that - you do get free breakfast in the restaurant and the drink vouchers - so all in all they try to recognise your status.

In enjoyed the lounge in Brisbane and in Sydney: no questions asked and always open.

What are the hours of the lounge in the Melb Pullman?

6-8 pm - but as said it has been closed quite often, which will give you drink vouchers, breakfast in hotel but no canapes and drinks in the evening. Weekends : don't count it. Weekdays: better chance.

Hi funnymummy....great place...great for kids...and the deserted end of the beach and the "adults only" section is perfect for those wanting to chill...in peace!
Vauno11...there is no executive lounge at the Sofitel Fiji...who wants to sip drinks and eat canopes in a lounge when there is the South Pacific outside, and the beach bar?! Also, hard to imagine an exec lounge with "Execs" wearing Bula Shirts and leis! :)

I hope to be adding some data on this for an upcoming stay this weekend.

Pullman Melbourne Albert park
Lounge closed on Saturday despite the hotel being full with a conference and a football team
Did get the free breakfast, wifi and 2 drink vouchers - all offered at check-in and the biggest room in the house overlooking the lake - 1 bedroom suite with separate lounge

Looks great! I've booked a suite for an upcoming stay because it was cheaper than a normal room...

Depends on the type of suite. The cheaper suites are at the back of the hotel and even though the size of the rooms were good, i didnt like them.
I stayed at Pullman this weekend and Friday and Saturday no lounge access. Hotel was very full so wondered about their logic.

As mentioned brekkie and drink vouchers. Like the hotel but the lounge has been closed every weekend I stayed there.

I am presently staying at Pullman Hyde Park been a couple of times before still pretty good 2 drink vouchers on arrival upgraded room, entry to executive lounge drinks and canapés 6pm to 730pm and free breakie in the morning.

I still can't decide to stay at the Pullman or Sofitel Sydney. Just 1 night stay. But with a 3 year daughter. I am plat plus with accor. Trying to use my free night. Pullman is free but Sofitel charges $40 for some reason. Is the Pullman near a train station? I think the Sofitel is only 200m from the train so it's convinient.

One bedroom suite. Got it during their 40% off sale recently. Will be annoyed if the lounge isnt open, thats a pretty poor effort.

Depends which Pullman - Pullman Quay Grand is very near Circular Quay station. Sofitel is ~300m from Martin Place station but this station only serves Eastern Suburbs or Town Hall/Central. Pullman Hyde Park is ~300m from Museum station which serves all City stations (except Martin Place).

Thanks. I'm referring to the Hyde park Pullman. I will be coming from the blue train line I.e eastern suburbs line. Is the Sofitel a better property? In terms of child friendly? I don't really need lounge access. More for location. Also walking distance to shopping and food.

The sofitel is rubbish. Pullman is not far from museum
